Big shout out to Roxanne Buesing pictured here with her Red Snapper caught 26 miles out of the Port O’Connor jetties from this past weekend. While it didn't meet the minimum requirements for entry, that's only fueling her fire! She and her husband Chris (1st Runner Up in the Offshore Division for Ling/Cobia last year) plan on heading back out by the end of this week to try again!

💬 "The reef, named HI-54 Shallow, is being built about two miles off the coast by Sea Rim State Park in Sabine Pass. When completed, it will be 20 acres." 💬 "The reef was made possible from a donation from the Coastal Conservation Association and other partners’ donation of deployment materials. The materials used to build the artificial reef consists of obsolete concrete and metal pieces that would otherwise sit in a landfill and serve no purpose."

How was the fishing for y'all this weekend?

CCA Texas STAR Tournament Assistant Director Ryan Towns was fishing Rocky Slough down in Baffin. Conditions were pretty good with the water clearing up from Brown Tide which is being pushed up the Laguna Madre thanks to the summertime southeast winds.

Hopefully, that'll help increase catch rates but it sure didn't help him 😆
