We are beyond excited to host our soft opening on the 24th to 26th of May. We are opening after months of hard work, fresh new design, and full renovation. The hard work is about to pay off. We would like to formally invite the city of Houston to the soft opening of The Big Casino.

Founded in 1886 in our building, the Big Casino Saloon flourished as a drinking establishment and a gambling hall, along with four other saloons on the 900 block of Congress, until Prohibition shut us down... We're back!

We are looking for a Chef/Kitchen Manager.

The Big Casino bar is a casino themed bar that will be opening soon in downtown. The Big Casino bar is an homage to the buildings past as it used to be a casino in the late 1880's. The cuisine will be Texas focused bar bites.
We are looking for a hands on, self driven chef, that can oversee food prep, ordering, production, manage staff, and ensure all safety and sanitation requirements are being followed.

Cooks should have at least one year experience and be able to operate in a fast paced, team oriented environment. Being familiar with Latin cuisines is a plus.

We are looking for talented, dependable and team-oriented people for all Front and Back of the House positions. Applicants must have a great work ethic and be willing to learn and take directions. We are a fast paced tapas restaurant, so being able to multi-task while under pressure is needed. Work experience in Latin American or Tapas style restaurants is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

We are looking for energetic, experienced and guest focused front of the house employees. Min. 1 year experience required for servers and bartenders and line cooks. Fast paced or tapas experience is a plus. Plenty of hours to offer and the Spring season is coming fast!
