I’ve got lots of good memories of making laps at Texas World Speedway on Honda V4 Interceptors, so when this 1986 VFR750F followed me home the other day, Janet was just shaking her head. I had to make sure “Stand by Your Man” was playing when she walked out in the garage 😀 86 was first aluminum frame, gear driven cams and yes it still had 16 inch front wheel.
It’s been on the coast so it needs some TLC, but it’s low mileage and all there 😀 It hasn’t run in the last 20 years or so, Janet calls the garage my office, she says I guess you’re going to be in your office a while!!!😂
Great time Saturday morning on the Houston Area #1 HOG Toy Run, was a little cold and windy 😃
I’ve had my 82 900F since it was new, it was roadraced then and then vintaged raced in 92 and 93, it leads a more sedate life now. 😀 Thanks to Randy Porter at Lone Star Metal Werx for repairing my front Dymag wheel that had some issues !!!!
Great ride Sunday with Bob and Paula Wolstead, Bob’s retired now, but was the best Honda service rep ever, taking care of dealers and customers in Texas for over 35 years !!!! 😀
Great time Saturday at the Texas Motorcycle Revival in Burnet at the Hill Country Motorheads Museum. There was a big turnout of cool bikes for the bike show and we saw lots of friends from the past and present. Janet was like a little kid, playing with light sabres, before daybreak working parking 😀
If you haven’t been to the motorcycle museum in Burnet you need to check it out www.hillcountrymotorheads.com
Perfect weather last weekend in Kerrville, for 2 days of amazing riding, with Steve and Celeste, Gordon, Maurice, Phil, and Vince. Good Times 😀
I’ve been published ha, my high school English teacher will be happy. After a great time in Vermont with the Honda F forum group last spring, I wrote a story and sent pictures to the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club magazine which they published in the October/November issue, lots of fun had by all 😀
Loving my RRR, it puts a smile on my face, but it needed a red stripe on the wheels, like I used to have on my race bikes 😀, Kenny got them fixed up, looks much better now 😀
Mary McGee, was the Grand Marshall at this years Barber Vintage Festival.
Mary is in the AMA Hall of Fame, as the first woman to hold a professional road racing license in 1960. She started racing off road professionally in 1963, after Steve McQueen said she should get off her pansy road racing bike and come out to the desert. Mary even raced the Baja 500 solo in 1975, passing 17 two man teams.
At 84 years young today, she’s an energetic sweetheart who told Janet you have to keep your hand on the throttle, your shoulders relaxed, your butt on the seat, and keep on riding !!!!
😀 Janet said oh no you shouldn’t have told Ronnie that 😂
Great time at the Barber Vintage Festival this past weekend in Birmingham, Alabama , where Janet’s 1975 Honda CB400F won 1st place in the 1970s Honda under 500cc category at the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club show and my 1970 Honda CB750 I restored 30 years ago, won 1st place in the 1970s Honda over 500cc category. Beautiful facility, amazing racetrack and museum, that everyone should visit 😀
Great ride Monday with Vince, George, Steve and Bob from the F Forum up the Cherahola Skyway and down 28 into Georgia.
Road trip, headed to North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia for 5 days of riding, then to Barber for the Vintage Festival in Birmingham, Alabama next weekend, Janet had so much fun doing Deals Gap on the Monkey last year, she wanted to take the little bikes too, I said yes mam 😀 gotta peg the fun meter 😃
I’ve owned this 1993 CBR900RR since it was new, and it’s got lots of good memories, as it was road raced the first 5 years of its life. It leads a more relaxed life now, but during the last 3 years, it’s covered over 50,000 miles going down memory lane and was showing a little wear and tear, so my buddy Kenny made it look like new again, fixing a dent in the tank and repainting, repainting the lowers and fixing some cracks in the upper fairing and repainting. The front fender Kenny originally made in 1995, with built in fork tube protectors. It almost looks too good to ride now 😀
Always loved the red white and blue and the white wheels 😀
Nice relaxing Sunday ride to our favorite place for burgers outside of Fayetteville, Pivo’s Ice House. We’re getting ready for a week of riding soon in North Carolina and Tennessee, so it was time to give Janet’s CBR some TLC, so it got new tires, brakes, and chain and sprockets. When we got back home Sunday, Janet hugged her bike as she said I love my bike, it’s like new again !!😀😂

JP celebrated his Birthday last night at the BMOA bike night !!
Happy Birthday to the legend, the Mouth of the South, the one and only JP 😀
Janet and I met some old friends and some new friends out in Alvin Saturday evening, where over 40 motorcycles participated in Harry Stafford’s
Road to Life Ministries Full Moon Ride with Blue Knights TX7, we had a great time, thanks Harry !!!
1000 Miles is what I answered when Janet asked, what do you want for your birthday ?
Most wouldn’t get that but she knew immediately what that meant 😀 So Saturday we headed to Gruene on one of my favorite rides and restaurants for lunch at the Gristmill restaurant www.gristmillrestaurant.com covering a little over 425 miles by the time we got home Saturday evening, Sunday we had lunch at Pivos Ice House outside of Fayetteville, www.pivosicehouse.com
as I rode my 76 CB750 around all the roads I enjoyed around that area as a kid covering a little over 260 miles, then yesterday I talked Janet into playing hooky from work on my actual birthday, as we rode a long backroad route around Lake Livingston and over towards Woodville, covering 325 miles by the time we got home yesterday evening. So she gave me my 1000 miles and many more smiles, was the best birthday ever !!!😀
Happy Birthday to the sweetest woman in the world !!!!
1000cc smile 😊 I got Janet this Repsol CBR1000RR for Christmas and I’ve been trying to make it fit her, I couldn’t get it as low as her CBR600RR, so she was a little apprehensive about riding it, as she says “it’s taller, it’s heavier “ So after Marc Marquez’s 11th straight victory at Sachsenring Germany yesterday, I told Janet you need to take the Repsol out for your maiden voyage to celebrate 😀
She succumbed to the pressure and said well if we don’t “go too fast or go too far “ smiling and knowing that neither of those requests were going to happen ha . We didn’t go that far, only 230 miles, but I think she’s now addicted to the smile that only a 1000cc sport bike can put on your face 😀 I love it when best made plans work out 😂
