Our first Etro in Exile is dedicated to the memory of one of our own, our dear and beloved friend, Alex Torres who passed on earlier today. He and his brother, Junior were part of Groove Brothers DJ duo. They had both held residencies at the Montrose and downtown Etro locations. Alex was an amazing DJ, award winning florist, world traveler, and lover of life. He lived it to the full and I will miss my friend dearly.

Tonight is dedicated to you, brother.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

It seems there is a little confusion among some of our patrons. But Etro Nightclub officially closed as a place of business on 13th of July last month.

I am, however, continuing a one night a month promo called Etro in Exile at Henke & Pillot (809 Congress) just a short walk from where Etro Nightclub was located. The first one is this coming Saturday the 17th. This is the only official Etro promo we are doing.

Our good friend Robert Ehlinger is however continuing his promo called The New Beat which was a promo that was hosted by Etro Nightclub when we were open. He has relocated his promo to Henke & Pillot also. We encourage you to follow him on the New Beat page for updates about his promo.

Our Etro in Exile promo will be just like a typical ‘80s night was at Etro. For the night of our promo only, most of the same staff and DJs will be present to carry on the Etro experience that you have come to expect and love.

There are currently NO plans to reopen Etro at another location and Etro Nightclub is carrying on in name and spirit only. This social media page will be the only place for official Etro Nightclub related information. Hope you can make it this Saturday.

ETRO ANNOUNCEMENT: We have been utterly humbled by the outpour of love and support since I announced a few days ago that we were closing. And we are grateful to the writers at both Chron.com and The Houston Chronicle for the 2 articles they recently wrote about Etro Nightclub and us closing on 7/13/24 in downtown.

That said, we would recommend all our beloved patrons that are planning to visit Etro Nightclub one last time to consider coming this wknd. We are expecting such a big turn out on the 13th that we hope to not have a long wait line for entry at the door. We had an event recently where this was the case. No one likes waiting in line and we don’t want you to wait in one unless it’s necessary. We cannot have the venue over capacity due safety requirements. And we will hold the door when we reach capacity.

So, if you want to avoid the line or a crowded venue, please consider visiting Fri & Sat of this coming wknd as well as Fri before our final night Sat. 13th.
