Here’s your 4-step solution to help your dry scalp issues and also help prevent it in the first place.

1️⃣ Gentle, natural cleansing: Use a sulfate-free shampoo infused with moisturizing ingredients like aloe vera or tea tree oil. These will cleanse without stripping away natural oils. 🧴

2️⃣ Deep conditioning treatment: Treat your scalp and hair to a deep conditioning treatment 1-2x a month. Use a rich conditioner or hair mask with ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, or avocado oil. Apply the treatment generously, focusing on your scalp and hair roots. For an added boost, use a steam cap or wrap your head in a warm towel to open up the hair cuticles and allow the conditioner to pe*****te deeply. 💆‍♀️

With the rise in Microloc popularity, so too has the interest in Microloc Extensions increased.

One of the disadvantages of Microloc Extensions is the 6+ month wait time to apply color.

However, one of many advantages is the ability to install the extensions with a plethora of color combinations. Ti chose colors 1B, 4, 30, & 27 for her install.

A question we regularly get is can a client switch from Palm-rolling to Interlocking, or vice versa.

The short answer is yes.

The long answer is we discourage consistently going back and forth between the two, for a list of reasons.

After 8 years locked, our client decided to try Interlocking. Here’s why:

1. He’s active with two jobs and wants his locs to looked groomed for longer periods of time.

2. He needs to cleanse & condition his hair without his retwist disappearing.

3. He desired shorter hair appointments.

3. He can evade the dreaded 1+ hours of dryer time.

We keep telling y’all, our Loc Extensions are here for a good time and a long time.

Almost to the date of his 3 Year Locaversary, our client decided it was time to cut off his extensions, and let his natural locs do their thang.

So, with the exception of a few inches that keep him at ponytail length, we bid his extensions farewell.

Essentially, he’s right back where he started, only now it’s his hair 👏🏾.

1. A grid wasn't preferred during installation. Believe it or not, the look of a grid isn't everyone's aesthetic of choice.

2. Using a different parting pattern was best, considering the client’s unique hair profile.

3. The initial Loctician simply didn't install with a grid.

3. The grid was altered due to an inconsistent maintenance/retie schedule.

4. Chair hopping from Loctician to Loctician.

5. Hair thinning, shedding, and loss interfere with the grid.
