HOW TO FILE YOUR NAIL PROPERLY

A good nail shape is just as important as great nail art! Learn how to correctly file your nails with our tips and technique below!

1.) When filing natural nails, opt for a soft file (that means a higher grit number) to prevent tearing of the nail. A 240-grit is usually good to begin with.

2.) File in one direction only. Avoid filing in a back-and-forth sawing motion. Instead, use a side-to-center motion, where you sweep the file over the tip of the nail in one direction, and then shape the nail accordingly.

3.) Hold the file flat against the nail tip while filing. If you angle the file, it will thin the nail tip.

4.) If nails are dry, brittle and tend to break easily, skip soaking fingertips in soapy water before the manicure, which can dehydrate nails even further.

5.) Don’t file too far into the sides of the nails; it will weaken the nail at the stress point, causing breakage.

6.) If you accidentally file too short, don’t beat yourself up about it. Nails will grow back, after all. Polish nail plates with a neutral color to lend the illusion of added length until they grow out.

TREATING INGROWN NAIL AT HOME

Dear clients,
You can use the following strategies to help treat an ingrown toenail at home:

Take over-the-counter medications, such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen, to help with the pain.
Try a numbing cream or spray. This will not treat any underlying infection, but it can help with the pain if there is a wound.

Soak the foot in warm water several times per day. People can also add Epsom salt to help with the pain and swelling.

Gently massage the foot and the toenail. This improves blood flow to the area, which may help with pain while speeding the healing process.
Dry the foot after soaking it, and apply an antibacterial cream to reduce the risk of infection.
Wear loose fitting shoes with open toes until the ingrown toenail heals.

You should not cut a notch in the nail or repeatedly trim the borders of the nail. These strategies will not reduce the risk of ingrown toenails.

• 24 hours no water contact
• Brush often
•2- 3 times a week clean with oil free cleanser, other days allow water to run through lashes
• Make sure to keep lashes clean all time
• Avoid heat (flame, steam, sauna, blow dryer)
• Avoid any oil products
• Do not sleep on them
• Do not be rough on them
•All above just applied for the eyelash extensions.
