We use negatives a lot to perform movements through range of emotion that we couldn't normally do. About 70% of your muscle breakdown comes from the negative or eccentric Whereas 70% of the tendon stress comes from the positive or concentric. Working in negatives is a healthy way to improve diffiicult movements.

I need to take a second to brag about this woman right here and congratulate her on an amazing 4th place finish. Never have I seen someone go from such a slump to dialing it in to perfect diet and training compliance to get ready for a spontaneous bikini show in 5 months.

We definitely started realizing this in the gym lately 🥵 but you're there to sweat anyways, right?!

So, we want to hear what your favorite go-to products are that we sell in-store as well as what you would like to see us carry in the near future.
Properly engaging your core is one of the hardest things any lifter will ever learn to do. In this video you see something called doming, the last signs of diastasis recti from a pregnancy nearly 2 years ago. She has come such a long way and can perform exercises she never thought she would be able to do again. Not far to go but will probably always be a work in progress.
1) If you eat less calories than your BMR, your metabolism will slow and you will store fat to survive.
2) If you eat more calories than you expend in a given day, your extras will be stored as fat
3) Hydration has 2 elements, water and sodium. You need at minimum half of your body weight in ounces of water and as close to 9g of pink salt daily. Without the sodium, the water will not absorb which will cause a slue of systemic problems.
4) R.E.M sleep is the only time that you produce growth hormones. If you don't get the minimum of 6-7 hours of sleep each night, you don't hit enough full sleep cycles to produce enough growth hormone to repair the damage of the day before. This will put you into a perpetual tailspin.
5) Getting consistent results is like trying to drag an anchor with a bungee cord. You can put in a lot of effort and feel like you should be making a lot of progress. But until you work hard enough for long enough, all you will do is stretch out that bungee cord and will never actually move that anchor. Once you've been consistent for long enough, you will stretch all the slack out of the bungee cord and the anchor will begin to slide.

We train hard for 45 solid minutes this means very little rest and combining movements when possible. One way we make sure to stay effective is by combining core and arm movements whenever we can.
Fridays are for picking things up and setting them down. There is no movement more functional and necessary than a deadlift. We perform all variations of the deadlift, heavy, light, conventional, straight leg, sumo, barbell, trap bar, dumbbell, etc. You may have no desire to deadlift 420lbs but you need to master some form of the movement...it will serve you well throughout your life and reduce your risk of unnecessary injuries.

Mastering the band pull apart can solve neck, shoulder and postural problems but using these before any pressing or pulling movement is just smart.
The core and mid/upper back activation in a front squat is far superior to most squats. Spend a good amount of time progressing in your front squat and you will see the benefits in all of your big lifts. Weak core? Front squat. Weak middle back? Front squat. Tight ankles keeping you from squating low? Front squat!
Age is not your obstacle. Your mindset is. You will be successful in whatever you prioritize.

HDST, or high density strength training, method strategically combines exercises for strength and muscle growth in a way that you can complete 90 minutes of training in 45 minutes.
Our program results in high levels of endurance and cardiovascular fitness while allowing for optimal muscle growth and strength gains when desired. We increase weights monthly and reps weekly.
This means it's customizable. We provide the workout, but you choose the exercise variation and the reps based off your goal... muscular strength, muscular size, or muscular endurance.

When performed correctly kettlebell halos are great for wrist strength, shoulder blade mobility, clavicle stability as well as shoulder and neck health. The versatility of this movement is nearly limitless. We work in overhead tricep extensions as well as lunges and thoracic rotations to be sure we can fit these in to any program at any time.
We use seated movements to tax the core and discover weaknesses in the abs, obliques and low back muscles. Take any upper body movement and do it from a seated position on the floor to level up. Straight legs is the most difficult So in the case of tight hips and hamstrings bend the knees and roll your pelvis forward so you're sitting where you're hamstrings conect to your pelvis not back on your tailbone.
