It's almost 4th of July weekend! 🎆

🔥 BBQ Tips from Mark for the Fourth of July Weekend! 🔥

Although we don't serve traditional BBQ at The Backyard Grill, we do smoke several delicious items in our Ol' Hickory Smoker out back. With the Fourth of July coming up, I wanted to share a rib recipe that's close to my heart. Part of it comes from my time at Houston's Restaurants, and the rest from my days with the Gman Cookers, Bayou City Cookers, and Half Fast Cookers.

Here's how we smoke baby back ribs at Backyard Grill:

1. Quality First: We start with top-notch ribs from Gourmet Ranch.

2. Prep Work: Peel the thin layer off the back of the rib and score it diagonally for better seasoning pe*******on.

3. Seasoning: Coat the ribs with a thin layer of mustard, then generously apply Backyard Grill Rib Rub Seasoning.

4. Smoking: Use Post Oak and maintain a temperature of 225°F for 5-6 hours, until the ribs reach 190°F. We use an Ol' Hickory smoker, which is propane-assisted with wood, so no wrapping needed. If you're using a wood-only smoker, wrap the ribs when they have a good color.

5. Spritzing: During the smoke, spritz the ribs with a mix of apple cider vinegar and water for added moisture and flavor.

6. Rest & Enjoy: Let the ribs rest before digging in!
