Join us in welcoming Paul Anderson of El Dorado Outfitters to Gordy & Sons on Thursday, August 1st.

El Dorado Outfitters, based in Tamaulipas, Mexico, specializes in quail and dove hunts with mixed bag options, turkey hunts and access to some of the best bass fishing in MX.

Paul has worked in the wingshooting industry for 25 years as a guide, dog trainer, booking agent, and lodge owner and operator. There really isn't much he hasn't seen or done.

He'll be at Gordy & Sons on Thursday to talk all about hunting in Mexico. Trip prep, travel plans, gear lists and what to expect; Paul will cover everything.

We'll have drinks and light bites, so come hang out, meet Paul and get all the info you need on finally planning that hunting trip that you've been hearing about!

We’re pumped to host fly fishing legend Chico Fernandez today at Gordy & Sons from 1-8pm.

We’ll do some casting at the pond, talk a bunch about fishing, sign books and listen to a presentation from the man himself.

Chico, originally born in Havana, Cuba, found his way to Florida at a young age and spent his youth chasing fish with his pals.

He's written two extremely popular books, Fly Fishing for Bonefish, and Fly Fishing for Redfish, and is widely renowned as an expert in all-things saltwater fly fishing. Chico has been featured on numerous TV shows and podcasts, including Andy Mill's MillHouse Podcast.

An expert fly tyer as well, Chico has designed some killer flies that have caught uncountable species accross the globe.

Chico will be at Gordy & Sons at 1pm to chat, sign books and talk fly fishing all afternoon. He'll do a saltwater casting demonstration down at the pond at 5pm, and then we'll head inside at 6pm for a presentation on fishing Florida, the difference in how the upper and lower Everglades fish, bonefish and redfish tactics, and more.

We'll have some light snacks and drinks available for everyone in attendance, as well as books available for purchase / signing as well. We'll see you there!
