As a reminder, the Houston Half & 10K matches donations made to charities by runners during the registration process.

If you placed in your age group or overall in Sunday's races but did not pick up your wonderful trophy/bottle, you may do so this Saturday at the Memorial Park Running Track Opening Party from 10 am to 2 pm at the Houston Striders tent. We will not do any mailouts so be sure to stop by and say Hello.

Thousands of athletes hit the pavement for Houston Half Marathon, 10K On Sunday, thousands of athletes laced up their shoes and hit the pavement for the Houston Half Marathon and 10K presented by the Houston Striders.

Flashback to last Monday when we posted this “Sold Out!” graphic. It was a wonderful and momentous day (our first time ever reaching capacity) and resulted from a sudden upsurge in registrations in early October. Because we ordered our shirts in August (long lead-times), we ran out of many sizes in the latter stages of this afternoon’s Packet Pickup. We greatly apologize for the inconvenience but will ensure everyone who didn’t receive a shirt today will be sent one via a mailing. We will contact those affected and expect the entire process – order, print, mail out – to take 3-4 weeks and we also want to thank the understandably disappointed runners who handled the situation with aplomb this afternoon. Runners are awesome.
Before you ask, medals are not size-specific and thus we have enough for both races tomorrow. See you there!

Tomorrow's weather won't be the best but we will have signs at the finish area for those who wish to commemorate their Personal Records.
