Learning the alphabet can be so much fun! This video is perfect for young students from 3-8 years of age who are learning the English alphabet. Teach your students to follow the hand gestures modeled by Sam, the character in the video. Soon you will have all your students singing and dancing to this song in your classroom, during recess and even at home! The movements are loosely based on the old La Macarena song and quite easy to learn. Now that school is in full swing, I thought I'd share some poems and songs from my very first songbook, Estas si las van a aprender VOL I. The first page has two poems 'Al fin se empezo' and Hojas, hojas. The second page is a song sung to the tune of 'Habia una vez un barco chiquitito' - in case you cover Cristobal Colon during your social studies time. The third page is great if you celebrate Halloween and is sung to the tune of Frere Jacques. I hope you can use these selections to include music and prose in your classroom.
