It’s that time of year when everyone is starting to be ready for a change !
Some are choosing to cut their hair shorter and others are wanting to make their hair brighter and lighter.
Have you been feeling that way lately?

☀️My summer haircare tips to protect it from the sun, heat, and humidity :

*Hydration: Drink plenty of water to keep your hair hydrated from the inside out.

*Protection from the sun: Wear hats or scarves to shield your hair from UV rays. You can also use hair products with UV protection.

*Moisturize: Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to keep your hair hydrated. Consider using a leave-in conditioner for extra moisture.

*Limit heat styling: Reduce the use of heat styling tools like flat irons and curling wands, as they can dry out your hair further. Opt for air-drying whenever possible.

*Avoid chlorine and saltwater: Rinse your hair with fresh water after swimming in chlorinated pools or saltwater to prevent damage.

*Use a wide-tooth comb: Detangle your hair gently with a wide-tooth comb to avoid breakage, especially when your hair is wet.

*Deep conditioning treatments: Treat your hair to a deep conditioning treatment once a week to replenish moisture and nourish your strands.

*Avoid over-washing: Wash your hair less frequently to prevent stripping it of its natural oils, especially if you have dry or curly hair.

One thing recently I have noticed lately is how several clients of mine are using the time in the chair to catch up on work, do zoom meetings ( obviously with the camera off ☺️ ) and go through all those emails !

I feel lucky enough to be able to shut my door and create an atmosphere where they can multi task while they get their hair done and am very happy to help them do that !

Well when life gets crazy busy and you find your self getting overwhelmed, it’s ok to use that dry shampoo for another day or pull out that hair clip to get your hair out of the way - just know that you are still showing up and you’ll get to that shampoo the next day !

I have been trying to figure out how to make getting your hair shampooed more enjoyable and then I tried out this little ottoman for the feet.
So far it has been a great addition, so the next time that you come in to get shampooed please feel free to put your feet up.

These two things will keep your hair from becoming thirsty and dry while giving it some much needed love !!! 💗

Why do I love my little studio ?

I personally love creating a space that has more of a one on one experience and not all the hustle and bustle of a big salon.

Of course it’s not for everyone but if you enjoy a more private experience than it’s for you ! 🌸

How to spot FAKE products!!

There’s been a few people in my DM’s telling me they find salon brand products at Walmart, TJ Max, Target, other stores…

To ensure your products such as OLAPLEX or any other salon professional product are authentic, purchase through one of the following authorized sources:

1. AUTHORIZED PROFESSIONAL SALONS (your hairstylist!!) why not support local vs a big box store!!

Ways to tell it is genuine OLAPLEX

1. All our consumer products contain QR codes on the bottom back side. If a QR code is missing, scratched off or tampered with in any way, do not buy it as the product could be fake, expired or diluted.

2. We do not sell in unmarked sample bottles. If a product is sold in an unmarked sample bottle or sample bottles with labels that are hand written or not our professional labels as featured on our website, it is not a genuine product. -unless you are getting a sample from your hairstylist that you physically see them taking it from a real product bottle into a sample container like I do in my studio.

3. We only sell the below products to consumers, our bottles are as shown and we do not have any other packaging:

Summer check in !!!
We are right in the middle of summer and I thought it would be important to remember these summer hair tips -
☀️ Saturate strands before taking a dip in the pool . If your hair is drenched with clean water or leave-in conditioner, it won't absorb as much saltwater or pool chemicals☀️If you aren’t close to fresh water - keep a spray bottle filled with fresh water to use before you jump in
☀️Switch to a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. You might be washing your hair more frequently because you are more active so it’s important to give your hair more love because of that !
