If you ever wanted to know the person behind the chair, here is your chance to know me. Hello Everyone, my name is Lauren and I’ve been doing hair (licensed) for 8 years now. Hard to believe all these years have gone by so quick. I started my hair journey when I was a little girl who would braid her American girl dolls hair, which then progressed to my first mannequin head at 10. I am not a typical hairstylist, I don’t work in a shop full time, but I enjoy my time when I do. I wear several capes. I work full time as a Epidemiologist for the local Health Department during the week, and express my creativity on Saturdays. I love to learn about new things and am a huge supporter of continuing education. I can be considered a Jack-of-all-trades, have 5 degrees to my name. Even with all of the papers on my wall I stay humble to my beginnings and try to stay true to those. For my hair quirks I am a perfectionist and will literally talk your ear off with every step through and through to be sure there is never any confusion. I love curly hair as I am a curly girl myself and take a lot of pride in working with my curly girls. I love coloring as it is a true work of art every time I see the finish product! I am a open book and share my life’s journey with my clients as well as always having a open ear to those who just need me to listen. When you are in my chair, it is your safe space and is non-judgmental. I have been away from the chair for awhile, but am recovering to be back at my best for my clients. I can’t wait to see you all again. Love y’all from the bottom of my heart. ❤️
