With the year coming to a close, I just want to thank all of my clients for another fabulous Hair by AmyC year. I wouldn't be me without you. Thank you for all the support and loyalty you've shown me. I appreciate all of you so much. I feel this year will be filled with growth, change, and a few suprises!! I can't wait to see what's the year holds. Love you all!!

Told you I was obsessed!! We started with a dark warm brown base and added highlights. Once we shampooed the color out, I added a copper red toner over the highlights. I did a mix of strong highlights and well as soft babylights. Her cut is a soft swing bob with bangs and soft layers to give body and bring out all that visual texture.I love it!!

Fall is here, and so are the hot new colors!! What's going to be trend... beautiful rich browns with soft subtle copper highlights. Super low maintenance and unending depth! Gorgeous looks!!

Just a reminder...my vacation is

January 1st-11th

I will be back in the shop for normal business hours starting the 12th. I will not have my book with me and will be largely out of network for most of my vacation so I won't be able to book anything while I'm gone.

Feel free to pre-book for once I get back and I still have a few spots open before the end of the year.

I have a client whose information card looks like a small novel. Simply because she is always up for being my guinea pig. Whenever I find something new...even if she just had her hair done...I store it away and wait for her next appointment. Today she was all in!! Joico has a new series of reds that are to die for!!! But they aren't for the faint hearted! This is the 5XR with Joico Color Intense Amethyst fantasy colorlights. As always.... it's fabulous!! Thanks Ann for trusting me and always being up for some fun!

Hey my peeps! Just wanna let you know that I'm back from my vacation. I have tested negative for covid and the nice thing about being on a tiny island is that there there were no covid cases while I was there. Plus everything is outdoors. And when I mean everything, I mean everything! They have a mask mandate and everybody wears masks. It was super nice and super safe. So I'm feeling great and ready to get back to it! Give me a shout whenever you need to get something done. Looking forward to seeing you soon!!

Hey gals and guys! Just a little note:
1. I'm completely vaccinated so if you are then we don't need to wear masks. If you feel more comfortable in a mask then I will gladly wear one.
2. If you are not vaccinated then we need to wear masks. Please be considerate and wear your mask properly while in the salon. I completely understand your decision and have no problem whatsoever. I just want to make sure we all stay healthy. Thank you for understanding.
3. I will be keeping social distancing and have one person in my salon at a time. Please wait in my waiting room if I have another customer in my chair. If y'all are friends or family then all are welcome in the studio.

Because of the social distancing I am booking up about a week in advance. Feel free to pre-book your next appointment while you are here.

Since I have such a tight schedule I book according to what you ask for or what we've done in the past. If you want something new or more detailed please let me know while we are booking. I love new ideas and looks...I just want to make sure we have enough time marked out. That way no one is rushed and I don't run behind on my next client. With my booking...if I'm late it's a domino effect.

Hey guys!!! Hope everyone is doing fabulous!! Just a few vaca dates:
1. Family get away: May 28th-31st. Back to normal business hours on the 1st.
2. I'm taking Tuesday's off in June and only the first Tuesday in July to help out with babysitting for my great nephew. The dates are:
June 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, July 6th.
Those will be the only Tuesdays I will take off so this is just temporary . Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. If you have an emergency and need a Tuesday during those dates please contact me...I will make it happen.

So here we go....per CDC guidelines:
1. I am fully vaccinated.
So
1. If you are fully vaccinated we do not need to wear masks. If you still want to wear masks I will happily oblige. It's all about what makes you comfortable while you are at Hair by AmyC.
2. If you are not fully vaccinated and or or can't get vaccinated then I will continue to require masks while you are here.

The CDC still recommends social distancing so I will continue to require one person in my station at a time unless you are friends or family. All sanitation guidelines will continue to stay in place as well.

Late night hair ....don't care!! Especially when it is this gorgeous! A beautiful ombre blonde. I used two different blondes: Schwarzkopf Protein Bond Building lighter and a high lift tint. Her base is a medium to light brown and those colors go so well together. Ombre is all about the splash without all that pesky maintenance getting in the way. It's a beautiful soft grow out but a ton of gorgeous eye pop wowza !! I love an ombre!!

Hey peeps!!! Good news!!! I'm fully vaccinated!! So if you are fully vaccinated and do not wish to wear a mask at the shop ...we are good to go. If you are mid vaccination, decided not to get vaccinated, or want to continue to wear one for safety reasons please wear a mask.

I will continue to wear a mask because I'm around so many people.

In addition I am keeping with my sanitation routine and one person is allowed at my station unless y'all are friends and or family.

Vacation dates!! We are off for a weekend getaway!!
April 16-19th
Good news...we will be fully vaccinated and we are on about 16 acres near Bandera, Tx Very isolated and our plan is to relax and just go hiking. So no worries... 100% safe and 100% social distancing. I can't wait!!

Hey guys!! Just a reminder: Masks are required for all services at Hair by AmyC. I will continue to assess the situation and follow CDC guidelines.

As of yesterday the CDC did announce that if people are fully vaccinated they can gather without masks. My 2nd shot will be March 21st which means Easter Sunday I will be considered fully vaccinated!!

If you wish to not wear a mask after I'm fully vaccinated...take a photo of your vaccination card to show me. If you are 2 weeks out of your last shot feel free to not wear a mask.

If you still want to us to wear masks after you're vaccinated that's 100% fine with me.

If you aren't yet vaccinated, prefer not to get vaccinated, and at this point no one has been completely isolated....masks will be required.

In other words, I'm open to whatever makes you feel safe and comfortable outside of maskless and not fully vaccinated.

I also want to thank everyone who called, texted, and/or messaged me with your words of love and support for my mask requirements. Pretty much all of my clients reached out in support over my decision to keep the masks. I hope you realize you made my day and I can't thank you enough. Love you guys and can't wait to see everyone soon.

So here it goes....as a small business I have the right to make rules that work for my business and keep me and my clients safe:

I will continue to require anyone who is in my salon to wear a mask the entire time you are here. We must now look to personally responsibility and I know masks keep us safe and prevent the spread of COVID.

Once we are past this I will enjoy no longer having to wearing them....it'll be a glorious day! Thank you for your understanding .

Also: I will continue with my social distancing guidelines. Only one client will be allowed in my station at any time....unless you are family, friends, or live together.

Well guys!!! That's a real live plumber!! Hopefully we should have water by this afternoon!! No more hauling water and shampooing people with a camp shower!! Woohoo!!

First COVID shot in the books...or in the arm so to speak! March 21st is the 2nd round. I had no complications with the first but I hear the 2nd one is a doozie!! Let's hope not!!!
