I originally grew up in Titletown (Boston), played college football in Kansas, moved to Houston 10 years ago, and I am currently the Club Manager at Houston’s best gym (The Downtown Club), personal trainer, and have a side meal prep business. 

Growing up as an athlete, I have always had a passion and commitment to helping people stay in shape. My personal top reason for working out is so I can stuff my face at all the amazing places to eat in Houston! 

What I enjoy doing most besides eating out is watching or attending sports, concerts, or being at a pool or a beach with friends.

Last but not least, I’m proud to say I’m the biggest Tom Brady fan on the planet because what he’s done and the way he’s done it shows there is simply no one like him and won’t ever be. Hope to see you around Catalyst family!

🌟 Meet Asta like “Pasta”: The Starlike Bundle of Joy! 🌟

Meet Asta, this bundle of joy and energy has stolen our hearts with her adorable antics, her expressive gaze; and a donning pair of satellite ears that seem to capture the very essence of the world around her. A Nordic name that means starlike and love matching her passion for cuddles and engaging in playful escapades with her cherished toy fox and hedgehog. In the culinary realm, Asta is a connoisseur with refined tastes for home-cooked turkey bowls adorned with heaps of veggies, and the satisfying crunch of tomahawk bones. Asta’s personality is a vibrant dance of playfulness and curiosity, embodied in enthusiastic jumps and kisses that welcome visitors with open paws! She enjoys orchestrating races at the park and rounding up a furry parade for an all-out sprint. Yet, amid this lively energy, Asta is a cuddle maestro, finding solace on the couch after a day filled with adventures. We often embark on unforgettable journeys with Asta, from spontaneous river dashes to chase duck friends, onto road trips reaching as far as Raleigh, North Carolina. Her paw prints leave an indelible mark on sandy beaches, lush hiking trails, and city parks. Asta’s heart, unequivocally, belongs to her mom. With a steadfast insistence on always staying at least two inches from her face, her loyalty is unmatched! Shiner, her best friend, joins in the joy of toy-sharing and grassy knoll escapades, forming bonds that warm the heart and echo with canine camaraderie. Celebrating her second birthday in November, Asta is gearing up for her Gotcha Day this March. Each passing day with Asta reminds us of the joy she brings into our lives! 🐾💖

We moved in the catalyst and just recently got married on January 11th 2024.
We are Houstonians who love our city which has so much opportunity in the workforce and the best restaurants in the country. I’m currently working in the automotive field as a General Manager of a Kia dealership and Sylvia is working as a VP of operations in the industrial tire industry. Our careers keep us busy but when not working we love to travel and playing golf on the west coast mainly in San Diego. We also love hanging at the local restaurants and bars here in downtown. We really enjoy the Catalyst and met so many great residents who now have become friends of ours. You will often see us walking our dogs, a Chihuahua and a dachshund.

Meet Doug, the two-month-old dachshund! Hailing from the rural charm of Floresville, Texas, Doug has traded farm animals for city lights. This little wiener dog is a sunbathing expert, loves binging The Office, and is the reigning champion of squeaky toy showdowns. Living the big city life with his pawrents, Doug is on a mission to charm hearts and chase tails!

Hola, I’m Omar, a classically trained Chef, transplanted from Caracas, Venezuela My journey into the world of flavors began at 12, and since then, I’ve been pirouetting through fine dining kitchens worldwide. In 2014, I touched down in Houston, orchestrating the culinary symphony at Peska with a 40-person team. Then, I took the helm as the private chef for President George H.W. Bush before diving headfirst into restaurant consulting. I’m the proud owner of “Culinary Matters,” a powerhouse in food consulting, and “Love Croissants,” Houston’s go-to for heavenly pastries. My mission? To continue shaping the culinary landscape and to make people feel special with foods, smiles and hugs lol. I’ve found my home at The Catalyst, where every day is a celebration of community, creativity, and connection. Living here has been an absolute delight, and I can’t wait to share the joy with each one of you.

“Hi! My name is Ella, and I’ve lived at the Catalyst with my parents, Steve & Larry, since they adopted me in 2022. I had a kinda rough life before that fateful adoption day, but I’m doing much better now and love living with my pack at the Catalyst! When I’m not out and about walking around downtown with the family, I love to spend time chewing on my toys and going on frequent road trips. If you see me on the elevator or in the hallways, be sure to say hello — I love ear scratches and meeting new people. See you around!”

Meet Taylor and Dena ! Taylor is a born Houstonian, and Dena is from Dallas, but got here as fast as she could. (Taylor wrote that part). Both consultants, Taylor works in industrial hygiene & emergency management, and Dena works with dental practices. They love meeting all the friendly neighbors, and if they don’t say hi first, one of their four-legged kids will. (We all know it will be Paris, the basset hound). Apart from enjoying all the amazing amenities that Catalyst has to offer, the Edwards family loves going to downtown events, playing darts with their friends, and traveling every chance they get! Make sure to say hello the next time you see them!

Choka, the lovely troublemaker who turns every day into an adventure. 🐈‍⬛
Mio, the calm and grumpy philosopher who brings serenity to our home. 🐱

We love to fight sometimes but mostly play together with our complementary personalities. We also love spending our day doing nothing in our beautiful apartment, thanks Catalyst!
Our main passion: eat, being lazy, annoying mom & dad during the night or chasing butterflies on the balcony.

Hey Catalyst Family! I am Dr. Anthony. I recently moved into the Catalyst from Kansas City, MO this past April and have been loving my decision ever since! Everyone has been friendly and helpful since day one! I currently run a dental practice north of the Woodlands and look to expand throughout Houston in the near future! Beside changing smiles, I love to travel, workout, do outdoor activities, try new restaurants and watch sports (Let’s Gooo Kansas City CHIEFSSSS!!!). I cannot wait to see what this year has in store and meeting more beautiful people here at the Catalyst!

Meet the dynamic duo, Judah and Zuri!

Judah, the three-year-old blue brindle French bulldog, hails from the vibrant city of Miami, FL. With a Cancer zodiac sign, he might explain his charmingly unique attitude. His heart lights up during long walks, indulgent belly rubs, exciting road trips, savoring skinny pop, and enjoying anything with a meaty flavor. Though he may seem tough on the outside, Judah is truly a big-hearted teddy bear. 🫶🏽

Zuri, celebrating her second year during Scorpio season, is a lovely chocolate and tan French bulldog, also proudly representing Miami, FL. Her affection for her boyfriend Judah is immeasurable; she's his constant companion, following him wherever he goes. Despite her petite frame, Zuri possesses a hearty appetite and a passion for the finer things in life- delicious food, sun soaked days, and spa dates. She's the epitome of a gentle sweetheart.

Hello, my name is Piper and I am a 6 year old Chocolate Lab. I've been living at the Catalyst for over a year now with my pet dad, Zach. I'm the happiest when I'm outdoors chasing squirrels and playing fetch. One interesting fact about me is that I was nominated on America's Funniest Home Videos! Hi All - I’m Catherine, but my friends call me Cat. I recently moved into the Catalyst last month, and I’ve loved every minute of it - surrounded by amazing views and city vibes! I work in healthcare management, specifically in the public health space - moved to Houston years ago from Canada, and still not used to this heat! In my spare time, you can catch me exploring new restaurants (huge foodie), traveling, capturing views, getting in a solid workout or being creative. Looking forward to experiencing the Catalyst even more, and continuing to call this place home - hope to see you around!

My name is Tyler. I’m from Chicago. I Moved to Houston in 2020 for my career in chemical logistics. The catalyst has been my home since August of last year. It’s been a great experience living on Texas Ave! Surrounded by great restaurants and Astros baseball. You can always find me at the pool or on the golf course. You can tune into my podcast “The Tyler Kemp Classic”  launching next month. I’d appreciate your support.

Paris and Pluto

Paris is short but demands to be noticed by her signature howl! Some of the residents and staff are regularly graced with her hello and if you find us in the elevator, she is sure to give you a good morning welcome. Paris was born in Orr, Nebraska and has made her way through Wyoming, Colorado, and now back to our home state of Texas! She has 11 years of adventure under her short legs from mountains to ocean to hill country, but this is her first Houston high-rise adventure. Her favorite routine at Catalyst is stopping by the front desk for treats after sunbathing on the balcony. She is a true blue Basset Hound and her resume includes service animal, kitten foster and avid rabbit chaser.

Pluto is 5' 2" standing and makes the best dance partner. He was born in Vidor,Texas and just turned 2 in June! He loves to confuse the world by being a solid black Goldendoodle, with the curliest black curls. Still an adolescent puppy at times as he is still in training, but he is the sweetest soul that loves to give affection. He is very sensitive to energy and loves to give out hugs when he can. His favorite routines at Catalyst are riding the elevator and playing with the other pups on the deck. His resume includes service animal, bed hogger and basset hound harasser. 

If you see them around, they'll be ready for ear scratches!

Hey y’all! My name is Austin. Born and raised in Houston, Texas and do not plan on going anywhere any time soon! I’ve been a resident at the Catalyst for 1.5 years now and have loved every second of it, especially during our Astros dynasty run (Rockets, please figure it out). I’m currently the General Manager at JLR Houston Central, so if you’re looking for a new vehicle let me know 😉 In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, working out and spending time with my family. Zoey and Marley

Hi there! We're Zoey and Marley, two happy pups who have been living in downtown for five wonderful years. We're absolutely in love with our city and enjoy exploring the area on long walks through Discovery Green and around Minute Maid Park. 

We're both friendly and outgoing dogs who love meeting new people. We enjoy getting pets and treats, so don't hesitate to come up and say hello if you see us out and about. And yes, we have to admit it - we're both foodies at heart! Sometimes, we might even tap you to say hello, but it's just our way of being friendly.

We're lucky to live at the Catalyst, and we're huge Astros fans! We love cheering on our favorite baseball team and getting caught up in the excitement of the game. Overall, we're just two happy-go-lucky pups who love living in downtown and enjoying all that the city has to offer. So if you see us out and about, don't hesitate to come say hello and maybe even share a treat or two with us!
