Good read michigan hunters

Some important info you need to know “Michigan”
Every track that a dog is used the handler has to contact the RAP line.
💥So if your baiting GET IT CLEANED Up
💥We stop at all properties that you don’t have permission! This is on you to receive permission for both yourself and the tracking team. Please get it in writing. If we have to stop because YOU DON’T HAVE PERMISSION I still get paid my full amount.
💥Since we have to report where we’re tracking make sure you register the deer in the same area as we’re tracking!!!
💥 The hunter can dispatch the deer DAY OR NIGHT WITH THE WEAPON OF SEASON!!!!
💥If your deer drops on the spot you need to SHOOT THE DEER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
💥Shoulder shots, broken leg shots please don’t track the deer! It’s not dead and your only going to make it tougher for the tracking team. CALL A DOG IMMEDIATELY. This isn’t a situation to give the deer time to stiffen up! The only stiffen up once they’re dead.
💥Liver shots wait a minimum 8-12 hours before tracking. Even longer during the rut.
💥Gut shots wait 12-24! Even longer during the rut.
💥High back shots we hardly ever find them.
💥Aim for the lungs!! Don’t try to heart shoot the deer. Aiming further away from the shoulder is better. Mid body shots are BEST.
DOUBLE LUNG, 1 lung/Liver is what you need to try for.
💥Killing a deer is better than wounding a deer!!
No neck shots,No frontal shots,no straight down shots!! Be patient and wait for the perfect shot or let the deer walk away!!!
A tracker can’t make your deer die and we’re not the answer for poor judgement. However a dog is very useful when a deer is dead!!!

Remember even with the Temps have to give them time here's a few time lines to go off of, give us a call if you need help or just even need to talk about the shot.
