Jocelyn Nokes took part in in memory of Captain Ryan Phaneuf. She told us, “I have never met Ryan, but as a former Air Force Captain myself, I feel like he is part of my family. Jocelyn also swam in honor of her father, Richard Nokes, who served in the Army. He passed away only a few months ago in May. Jocelyn said, “My Dad was my biggest cheerleader and without his support I never would have become a swimmer.” It is stories like this that really show us why our mission to honor and support our Veterans is so important. Ryan's locker located at the Ellsworth Air Force Base in SD has been retired and a piece of plexiglass to preserve his gear.

This park area also includes several other granite monuments of the fallen located on all 4 sides of these pillars.
