The is the coziest dreamiest farmhouse! Swipe for the before! This dining room we mixed new and collected pieces. This dining table we found in Massachusetts from a private sale, a guy and his grandfather built from reclaimed barn wood. This thing was heavy!!! This chandelier is an antique swoop arm chandelier we found in Westchester on fb marketplace and added sweet lamp shades to. The end chairs I found at .antique.flea.market - I love seeing all of these collected pieces really complete the space.

Mixing new and old 🗝️

This used to be the entrance to the basement down a closed off hallway that was dark and definitely not welcoming! 😅 With a pretty compact floor plan, we thought, how can we add a bathroom to the downstairs to increase the value and appeal of this home, while also making it beautiful. There are so many things to factor in design & making sure the space functions. We love working with small spaces & being intentional with each design to make sure every space maximized. This week in demo, we found original wallpaper behind the walls. It looks hand painted, we’re figuring it’s from the late 1800’s or early 1900’s. We’re thinking of framing these or doing something cool with them! Let us know if y’all have any ideas!

This was such a small room in our remodel, we had no idea what to do with it at first. It’s funny that the smallest spaces are sometimes the most enjoyable to design! This became a small space of getting lost in the adventures of a good book, with an antique cart my grandma gifted me. It’s just the sweetest space!

These old homes stole our hearts!…. As we wrap up one restoration we’re gearing up to start another! Alongside serving you with your homes, we’ll be taking an abandoned, historic home and breathing new life into it! We hope you guys follow along it’ll be one crazy, creative ride! And I’m so excited I get to do this in my home town, with my best friend and husband! I grew up in the Hudson valley and being able to preserve pieces of history means so much to me, I don’t know if it’s because they remind me of my grandparents farm…or it’s just the beauty of something someone built with their hands that has lasted 200 years…either way we’re going to make sure it lasts another 200. Much love! ♥️
