I was a bit homesick creating this piece. I miss the days of laying on the beach in St.Croix. Enjoying coconut water and having the suns rays bless my melanated skin.🥥🌺🏝🏖

Covid caught me again so I'm still getting my bearings.. I got some other paintings in the works but because of being sick. I've been trying not to put too much strain on my body.

I've been doing art for quite sometime and the one thing I notice that stifled my growth is self doubt. The voice in your head that tells you that your work isn't good enough because of low social media followers and likes....that no one is interested in paying for your work or seeing it.
This was a self defeating thought that I have fought and still posted art despite not getting the recognition.
Moral of the story is don't stop creating because if you love what you do the validation means less than your actual enjoyment.
