The old man might head out Wednesday (old folks day) to see the talent show with Dan and Galla but every day will be full of fun and excitement.

National Night Out is scheduled to run from 5 to 9. We'll be open from 2 until it's over so stop in and see us at 623 Washington St., right across from Pizza Row.

Emergency vehicles and equipment will be on display, along with K9s. There will be a dedicated kid fun zone. Learn about services that are available throughout the county in reference to mental health, addiction, the elderly, children and youth, victim services, East Broad Top Railroad, and secondary & post secondary education.

Sunset Slush will be at the event with their delicious Classic Italian Ice available to purchase.

This event is organized and sponsored by the Huntingdon Borough Police Department. Visit the HPD tent for a piece of the annual National Night Out Cake, as well as an opportunity to register for a bike give away.

There is still time to register your group and/or organization to participate.

Employers.....sign up as a participant to recruit your next employee(s). This would a great opportunity to engage the community and speak about professional opportunities.

Any local entertainers wanting to share their talent with the community? We are actively looking for an entertainer(s) to take the stage at Bryan Park and/or throughout the event. Contact us if you are interested.

A groovy haul of funky junk this week included 500+ 45s, lots of 50s and early 60s doo w*p, r&b, soul and pop. It'll take some time to sort through them and they have lovely red price tags that mostly are coming off without issues so that's fun.
