True or False? Hair colors work better on dirty hair.
I've heard this myth time and time again, and I’m here to set the record straight: This is false!

While it may seem counterintuitive, the truth is that hair color actually takes better on clean hair. Clean hair allows for the color to pe*****te the strands more evenly and results in a more vibrant, long-lasting color. Plus, it's always best to start with a clean slate when it comes to any hair color service.

That being said, it's still important to avoid washing your hair for 24-48 hours after coloring to allow the color to fully set. So next time you're booking a color appointment, make sure to come in with freshly washed hair for the best results!

WE CARE is a non-profit organization that pools the resources of the community to meet the emergency needs of families and individuals such as rental assistance, utility assistance, therapy services, food, personal care items, and more.

During the month of December bring in canned goods/non perishable food items, New blankets/jackets or personal care items. Let’s all come together to give back this holiday season. 💕🎄🎅🏻🤶🏼☃️

“Noncommittal copper”: when you want to try copper but don’t want to fully commit!

• Spraying Leave-in before entering a body of water helps to reduce the amount of chlorine and salt water the hair absorbs.
• Chlorine and salt water can be super drying and cause your color to fade. It can also cause unwanted chemical reactions during during a color/lightening service.
• Leave-in conditioner can also be sprayed on the skin after being in the sun. The low pH will reduce the pore size and can help prevent peeling. After your post sun rinse. Spray leave-in all over the skin and rub in or layer with lotion.
• Purifying shampoo is a must have especially during the summer! It’s great for gently removing chlorine and build up without stripping the hair or hair color.
• End your day of fun in the sun by using purifying shampoo to remove any residual chlorine or salt water from the day. Then condition.
• Final step: spray leave in again to make brushing out your hair a breeze! 💕

TRUST THE PROCESS! This beauty went from BLONDE (top pic on L) to Brunette March 2020 (bottom left) right when Covid hit and salons shut down. Once back in the salon she decided to start transitioning back to blonde. Top right 3 pics are all her starting points with each visit. And the bottom 3 are her afters. I love seeing where we started to where we are now. 💕

Started from the bottom… now we here! So crazy to look back on where we started with a blank slate to what we have transformed The FIXX Studio into. So many small businesses and talent throughout to give it such a special touch to share with you. 💕

It’s hard to believe 1 year ago today we signed our lease. And what a year it has been! This journey has been life changing in the most incredible ways possible. There is absolutely no way we could have done this with out the amazing love and support from all of you. You have supported us through one of the toughest years of our careers! Now let’s celebrate all month long! 🎉
