We’re thrilled to introduce the latest graphic for MiniRipperz: the Octopus Shark,

designed by an incredibly talented artist whose journey perfectly aligns with our passion for skateboarding and art. During his middle school days, he developed a passion for both art and design, along with skateboarding. His buddy had a blank deck with some trucks and aggressive inline wheels slapped on it, with no grip-tape. Somehow, he figured out how to ollie on it and was instantly hooked. His brother, a surfer, made longboards with his own logo, inspiring our artist to draw every punk band and skate company logo he could. This passion led him to major in graphic design in college, where he also gained valuable experience working at a screen printer.

This experience had a major impact on his career, allowing him to design board graphics for various companies, once . while continuing to pursue his love of skateboarding and art. As he grows as a graphic designer, his goal is to keep progressing his skills and work on projects that merge his love for skateboarding with design. We’re excited to feature his amazing Octopus Shark design on our new decks and look forward to sharing more innovative graphics from MiniRipperz!

miniripperz Many parents believe that getting a bigger skateboard deck will help their kids learn to balance better, but this isn’t the best approach. It’s crucial for young skaters to start with a smaller deck to develop their balance and technique. If they begin with a large board, they’ll get used to the size and weight, making it difficult to transition to smaller decks later on. This can lead to an overly wide stance and inefficient movement, as their bodies work harder to maneuver the heavier board. Starting with a smaller deck allows kids to build proper skills and balance from the beginning.
