Our Story
Perry’s, originally located by the Newport Pier on the Balboa Peninsula, has been a family owned and operated establishment for over 45 years. In 1985, our owner, Jess Bingaman, began to use his culinary expertise to attract many customer, locals, and fans. One fan in particular was Dawn Swanson, who frequented the restaurant not only for the pizza but also for Jess' attention. Who would have known that 10 years later, the two would marry and
eventually, in 1996, purchased Perry's Pizza as Mr. and Mrs. Bingaman!
In 2015, we relocated to our current location on the corner of Brookhurst & Hamilton (near Trader Joe’s). Although we do miss the Peninsula, we are proud to call Huntington Beach our new home. While our popularity originated with our Sicilian style pizzas, our menu includes many popular items like soups, sandwiches, salads, and even prime rib sliders! We make our dishes from scratch daily, from Jess’ carefully curated recipes. To pair with any of our delicious meals, like our prime rib dinner, we offer a wide selection of wines. In addition, we are proud to offer several local craft beers on draft.
During a notoriously crazy 4th of July on the Peninsula, we ran out of beer classes and resorted to using milk jugs to serve our beer. Who knew that this unique idea who gain so much popularity. Now making us the trademarked Home of the Jug ™, customers can now get any of our draft beers served in an iced cold 32oz milk jug.
From our family recipes to our friendly staff, we pride ourselves on our ability to provide each customer with an enjoyable and memorable dining experience. Whether you’re picking up dinner for the family or dining in to enjoy a prime rib dinner and a nice glass of wine, you are our friend; and we are truly honored when you walk through our door.
