Congratulations to my sweetest friend Amy and her littles on their beautiful brand new home build.

It’s Amy’s first purchase of her own, I asked her if she feels 10 feet tall.😂💪🏾 I remember purchasing my first home almost 2 years ago all on my own. Although Derrick and I have purchased many over the last few years I never just purchased out right by myself, so when I finally did you couldn’t tell me NOTHING.🤣🤣🤣 I felt like I had just slayed dragons. 🥷🏾🤺

There’s just a super power you feel in homeownership that is hard to explain.

I look forward to working with so many more of you in the new year.🥰🏠

Today has been so tough because it’s our last day and the emotional are all over the place. 😢

I had to explain to the kids we’ve gotten so close to over the last 2 years why we won’t be back for 2 years. Although they understood and appreciated it they expressed their deep sadness.

I have decided to stay home next year due to my goals being a bit larger this time. I just feel that the insane amount of money I paid to bring us here could be spent better on helping if I just do it from home.

There’s just such a massive need for food, shelter, clean water, clothes, school uniforms and supplies, and the list goes on.

We visited a new community today (photo’s attached) that one of the head guys pretty much stumbled across a few months back. When I tell you guys these people are living in the most unimaginable conditions EVER I mean just that. 😭😭😭

Their homes are built from literal scraps and the animals use what little walking space they have to get back into their tiny community nestled in the middle of the city as a “waste” area. It’s terribly sad.

And yet again, THESE WERE THE NICEST PEOPLE and their smiles pretty much lit our path to get to them. To see their faces when they saw the food we had packaged just for them was absolutely priceless.

My heart is overflowing with love and gratitude to get the opportunity to help today. It’s been a great day.

I can’t wait to try this place out

The day has finally come 🙌🏾My first house build in honor of my mother! AND there was a beautiful plaque made with her name on it. 🫨🥰

Omg I’m so pleased with how this day turned out and the sweet family that received their home was so grateful. My heart is full. I’m so glad my girls got to experience this.

During my mother’s time all I ever wanted and prayed for was to one day see her become a homeowner. Being a realtor it just seemed to be a huge accomplishment to show her how well she did in raising 4 children. Especially our younger years being single and working multiple jobs. She still always had time for helping others. She passed away before I could ever fulfill that dream.

My mother was the true definition of a giver.

Lengthy post alert but it’s a good one😊

A few of you are aware but many are not, I am currently in Honduras with my daughters Dacy and Zariah on our second mission trip. This is Azariah’s first time.

Last year when I visited for the first time I fell in absolute love with the people of an area called MOLOLOA. It’s a community of indigenous people who live literally on the side of a steep mountain. Imagine about 500+ families building these small 16x18 hut like homes on the side of monte sano’s highest peeks and having to walk up and down daily. These people are super poor and in need of literally EVERYTHING.

The group I go with has visited annually for a long time.

After my first visit and getting to meet the babies of mololoa I was hooked. I new there was a strong need there bigger than anything I had ever seen.

They didn’t have adequate food so their babies were so malnourished.
They didn’t have fresh water readily available to them. Some even pulling dirty water from a creek I had previously seen dead animals and trash in.
They didn’t have clothes, electricity, medical help, I mean the list goes on.

But, what they did have was love in their hearts, a want to literally give whatever they had as an offering of appreciation to show how happy they were to see us. They had these HUGE smiles on their faces just being able to see that someone knows they are there and cared enough to come visit.

Just imagine their faces when they found out we were also there to bring food, clothes and shoes, and to help build a few homes. 🥰

Well, that was enough for me I was all in and like sign me up.🤷🏾‍♀️I immediately set a couple of goals for myself and my business. I asked the pastor of their church how much would it cost to provide monthly clean water truck for the mountain he said $60 so I set a goal to send $100 every month for 1 year. Thankfully, with God by my side, hard work, and the help of my amazing clients trusting me with some of their most valuable investments, WE MET THAT GOAL! 💧🙏🏾

I also set a goal to donate a home to a family that needed one in honor of my mother who passed away before I ever got the opportunity to purchase her a home. These homes are now equipped with a gutter system to catch rain water into a barrel for them and a BED.🙌🏾 TODAY, WE ALSO MET THAT GOAL!😭😭😭🥰💪🏾 take a look at some of this week’s photos so far.
