Last Friday, FPA celebrated the groundbreaking for Randolph’s new Leo Center for Excellence. The Leo Center for Excellence will provide the Randolph community with a place to gather, a new gymnasium, an expanded performance space for athletes, and an innovation hub and technology lab to elevate the STEM program. 🌟👏

Trevan Seay is an upcoming fifth-year architecture major and geography minor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

🔦Project Spotlight🔦
A New Facility for Davidson Technologies, the 45,434 square foot office building is located at Redstone Gateway in Huntsville, Alabama. The building consists of private offices, open offices, conference rooms, a large multipurpose room for training which can hold up to 150 people, break areas, a fitness room, and secure spaces. A unique design feature is the acoustic ceiling features in the break room as well as in the large multipurpose room. We developed a close working relationship with our client to ensure their immediate needs were met such as fitting in each department independently of each other. Together we enabled Davidson to be able to grow into a new focused and collaborative series of spaces.

Yesterday, we enjoyed a wonderful welcome lunch! FPA has four new team members: graduate architects Chris Nelson and Daulton Holland, architectural intern Trevan Seay, and interior design intern Robin Felder. Welcome to FPA! 👏

Fun fact: Katherine is a triplet. They are fraternal, consisting of 2 girls and 1 boy. Her brother is an aerospace engineer here in Huntsville, and her sister is a social media strategist in Nashville.

Completed in August 2023, the AIDT Training Facility for Mazda Toyota Manufacturing is a 23,748 square foot facility that addresses a wide variety of needs in Greenbrier, Alabama. As the primary point of introduction for prospective employees, the facility includes a large waiting area, pre-screen computer testing, an interview space as well as “hands on” testing areas. Employees also have access to laboratory and training spaces. We had the pleasure to work on this project with Pearce Construction Company, Inc.

We are happy to announce the opening of Southpaw Animal Clinic of Madison. Dr. Jessica Tully and her passionate team are thrilled to serve the community with their new veterinary practice. FPA is pleased to have worked with Dr. Tully & The Highland Group to renovate this cold dark shell into a comfortable and caring environment for pets and their owners alike!

Staff Project Pick 🌟

Ansley’s project pick is the new Huntsville Brasfield & Gorrie Office located in Lincoln Mill. The office space includes private and open office space, as well as a main conference room. The challenge that came with this project was turning the space into a functional office space while highlighting the architectural features of the existing building. With Brasfield & Gorrie being a prominent Construction Firm in the southeast, a goal for the space was to integrate building materials throughout the design. By using rebar & highlighting the existing structure of Lincoln Mill, the goal of integrating building materials was achieved.

Working with Brasfield & Gorrie as a client was a unique design process, which only positively added to the project. Ansley enjoyed getting to work with Sara Beth throughout the design process. Congratulations on the new space Brasfield & Gorrie!
