Happy Friday from us here at the Rocket City Rescue Thrift Store. It's going to be a rainy weekend so it may be a great time to clean out closets and bring us your gently used donations. We appreciate anything you have but would be especially grateful for toys, games, puzzles and home decor items. We are thankful for all the shoppers this week…and blessed to have regulars that are sad to see us close our little shop!

But we aren’t going anywhere yet!! We have just barely, and we mean barely, scratched the surface😵‍💫

We are constantly putting out new things and made the path through our stock room a tiny bit wider, but we haven’t even begun to bring things in from the warehouse!!!

Sadly we have made the decision to close our thrift store and focus all our attention back on the care of animals.

Our intent was to never have to operate a thrift store and with so few volunteers willing to help, we were trying to manage and work at the store in addition to working toward our goal of helping 1,000 animals yearly.

While the revenue from the store is needed for vet bills, it has become a distraction we can’t afford. To replace these much needed funds we are now looking for someone with creative ideas to take the lead fundraising so we can continue to help so many homeless animals.

Beginning this week, we will no longer be accepting donations and everything in the store and warehouse will be marked down 50%. Our back room and warehouse is overflowing so new stuff will be put out everyday.

Our hours will be a bit different so be sure to watch our page for the most current information. This week, we will open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10 am to 3 pm.

We will miss our regular customers and meeting new ones and hope that you will continue to support us in new ways… like following us on FB at Rocket City Rescue, sharing our posts and going to our website at www.rocketcityrescue.org to make donations.
