Glad to have supported this fine restoration!
We hope everyone took time to honor those who sacrificed their lives for our country over the long weekend.
This past Saturday we were presented with a new flag set by Huntsville Knights of Columbus Father Jeremia Trecy General Assembly.
The museum will be open Monday in observance of Memorial Day. There will be a wreath laying ceremony at the memorial downtown at 1100. The museum will also have a display at Stovehouse. Join us in honoring those Americans who have given their lives while in the service of our country.
The museum staff wishes to express our condolences to the family and friends of longtime volunteer, Cory Kellar. He will be sorely missed by all of us.

BIG news in both size and impact... the famous Coulson Aviation - Next Gen Firefighting airplane, Philippine Mars, will soon find its forever home here in Tucson, AZ! We've officially acquired the aerial firefighter converted from a WWII-era flying boat. It won't arrive until later this year, but we are thrilled to announce that one of the two remaining iconic Martin JRM Mars will be preserved at Pima Air & Space Museum!
We’ve not done a great job of sharing progress, but an attempt to wake up this old war horse is in the near future.
Coming soon see you there!
Y’all come see us and the Pygmy too!
Happy Independence Day! We are open today. Come see us.

We have lost 2 of our original founding volunteers. Mr. McMurran was a veteran of D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge. He and 8th Air Force veteran, the late Bill Varnedoe, built the museum's 8th Air Force Briefing room. His wife, Ruth, was constantly by his side and they died less than 12 hours apart. Join us in remembering these two great Americans.

We were recently visited by a large group with the Willys Overland Knight Registry's 2022 International Meet being held here in Huntsville.
The second "old" car in is a 1914 Overland. It drove to Chattanooga and back that day! Incredible considering the age and the heat!
Among the visitors was noted jeep authority Todd Paisley. Great to talk jeep history with him!
Old navigators never die, they simply fly away. We mourn the recent passing of museum volunteer and American hero Bill Varnedoe just days shy of his 99th birthday. We are are thankful for the time we had with him and for the example he set for all of us of a life well lived.
