Pit Bull will close at lunch today to celebrate Tim Moran's 20th work anniversary at Pit Bull. Tim started out as a teenager at Pit Bull - first helping in the machine shop, then the fabrication dept, then later assisting the welders where he also learned to weld, and now serves as our senior welder. Tim has been an invaluable asset for 20 years, chipping in wherever he was needed. Tim, thanks for your hard work and commitment!
Do you have a Grom? Do you need axle sliders? You're in luck because Pit Bull has axle sliders for the Grom and they work with our TRS pins! Only $34.95!
Do you want matching front axle sliders? You're in luck, because we need pictures of the front axle sliders on a Grom. Order the rear axle sliders and type "free front sliders" in the order notes. You'll get them for free and we'll hope you follow up with pictures once they're installed. Offer good through tomorrow 7/17/24. Thanks!

Colin never outright says it's his birthday, but there are always signs. Happy birthday to one of the best welders to ever weld a motorcycle stand
New equipment in the house! Our last Behringer saw was still working after 15+ years when we pulled it from service this morning, so this new one should help us make a lot of motorcycle stands in it's lifetime!
Ladies First track day event is coming up on 6/28 at Autobahn. The will be a Pit Bull Fully Adjustable Rear Stand as well as a Pit Bull Helmet Holder in the raffle at the event!

Dwaist from our assembly department wanted a rear stand for his Talaria Sting MX3, but nothing "off the shelf" was quite right so we built him a slightly more narrow version of our Dirt Bike Rear stand which turned out just right.
Lil bit of weekend R&D that’ll hopefully yield a Honda Ruckus pin kit for the Trailer Restraint System. Fingers crossed it comes together as it should
Eric started working at Pit Bull years ago as a teenager during Summer breaks while his father Norberto was our assembly/shipping lead. His father eventually moved on after getting his engineering degree, and as of yesterday Eric has also gotten his engineering degree from UAH. Congrats Eric!

One of our dealers asked for a product video showing how the Display Stand works. Syretha and I(George) shot this short video: https://youtu.be/5UDkbpxO_Zs. Hopefully that helps for anyone else who might have had questions!

Ender made his first visit to Pit Bull today. Never shy, he immediately sought out attention and got belly rubs in the assembly department and head scratches in the machine shop before being convinced to return to the office. Hopefully he'll enjoy this day enough to forgive the shots he'll get at the vet later.
Riverside California dealer ChaChaCha Motorsports has been a Pit Bull dealer for 15 years now! They have Pit Bull stands and helmet holders in stock if you need one today. Parts, accessories, and service available there as well!
Day 4 of Alabama Snowmageddon 2024. FedEx will not be picking up packages as some drivers(including ours) elected to wait for better road conditions. The heating unit went out at Pit Bull but thankfully our HVAC partner was able to get someone down here. Hopefully we can get all pending orders out tomorrow and/or Monday. Y'all can keep this Winter stuff up north next year😂
Snowmageddon 2024 seems to be on its last day(knock on ice). Got almost half our crew at work. Shipping carriers still aren't running so hopefully things will ship tomorrow. Thanks for your patience. Also, I see now why some of y'all up north have "Winter cars".
Alabama Snowpocalypse 2024 continues today so unfortunately we will be closed again. Feel free to reach out to [email protected] or via Instagram or Facebook if you have any pressing tech questions or need any sort of assistance. We'll help as best we can. Stay warm out there!
The Great Alabama Blizzard of 2024 is upon us. As you can imagine, a few inches of snow shuts down the South. FedEx informed us that they will not pick up packages today and the 3 employees that made it in today have gone home before the roads get worse. We hope to be back in the office on Tuesday, but depending on conditions it may be Wednesday. You may now begin making jokes about Alabama Winter in the comments🤡
Ran into 650ib at Barber Vintage Fest a few months back and got our one and only picture together in the 10+ years we've been friends. Ib has a YouTube channel with tons of motorcycle content. I think my personal favorite has always been the tour of Jay Leno's garage, just because of the super rare bike and cars he's got in there. Go check it out when you have a moment: https://youtu.be/tfzlHTCcPKs?si=4P2zVpywgBvZS-1G
Moving the 2004 Hardinge lathe out today to make room for a new machine. This machine made a lot of parts for us over the years, but the live tooling has been broken for over a year(parts availability isn't what it once was on these machines) and it's time to upgrade. New machine inbound today as well!

The Story of Pit Bull Products
Charlie VanValkenburgh started Pit Bull in 1994 when he was a club racer looking for a better motorcycle stand. At that time he was designing mechanisms for the space program, but his true passion was motorcycles. He sold his first stand at a WERA race and continued to build more stands with the proceeds from the previous batches of stands. By 1999, he was able to move the business out of his garage and into a small manufacturing facility in his hometown of Huntsville, Alabama. Pit Bull would outgrow that building by 2003, and a larger facility was built just two doors down from the original building.
The original product was a front stand that would lift a bike from the hole in the lower triple tree, and while that stand would be discontinued in later years, all future generations of the Pit Bull front stand would maintain compatibility with the pins designed for the first stand. One thing that Pit Bull has always done is to spend a lot of time on R&D to ensure that our front pins are appropriate for your bike. Subtle changes in diameter, height, angle, and offset can often mean the difference between a pin working for your bike vs. you having to remove your entire fairing to lift the bike.
As the years went on, Pit Bull would continue to release new stands to adapt to the changing needs of the market. Some bikes require “one-off” designs to accommodate their unique features, and Pit Bull’s selection of specialty stands is second to none.
In 2015, Pit Bull began doing our own zinc plating in-house. This gave us control over the quality level of the plating as well as improving our lead time. Like most new projects, this came with a learning curve but was definitely a good thing overall.
