Cutting, padding, folding and other bindery production for print finishing, Production assistance, Inventory control, Shipping and Packaging. Moderate lifting required. (up to 50 pounds)

Schedule:

8 hour shift

8:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday.

NO WEEKENDS!

Experience desired, but not necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities and duties:
-Greeting customers with a warm smile.
-Answering with a friendly, clear phone voice.
-Answering customer emails.
-Entering orders and estimates into point of sale software.
-Ordering supplies for copiers.
-Operating copiers and other office equipment.
-Prioritizing and multi-tasking.
-Calling customers to let them know orders are ready.
-Filing and organizing.
-Working the cash register.
-Maintaining appearance of the office with light cleaning duties.

Requirements:
-High School graduate.
-Basic math skills.
-Positive, team-oriented attitude.
-Willingness to learn.
-Must be able to pass a background check.

100 years ago today

First Human Use of Insulin to Treat Diabetes
January 11, 1922

A 14-year-old diabetic was given the first injection of insulin at Toronto General Hospital. He had been slipping in and out of a diabetic coma and was about to die. The injections immediately improved his symptoms. However, the insulin was so impure, he suffered a severe allergic reaction and treatment had to be cancelled. An improved insulin was injected on January 23, which was completely successful. The insulin was from the pancreases of cattle.
