You can support the creation of Tollgate Greenway on Monte Sano to provide pedestrians and bikers a safe, scenic route to travel on the western slope of the mountain and create access to nature for people who cannot utilize our natural trails. This time of year is a great time to have your fork and shock serviced. Worn out seals allow dirt to pass and etch away the anodized coating from the stanchion. Once this happens, maintaining a proper seal is impossible and the solution is expensive. Treat your ride to some preventive maintenance and restore performance.

Got to give a shout out to Chad “Diesel” Brandon for an incredible TNGA performance. First single speed to finish (though he waited at the line for the other single speeders who he’d been riding with that day to catch up and finish together) with an official time of 2 days, 13 hours and 51 minutes. The tenacious determination he has is unfathomable and his heart is gold. Chad, we’re proud to call you friend and brother.

File this under “things you don’t often see in a bike shop.” Now, I’ve never girded up my loins for a bike ride. I wouldn’t even know where to start. Do they even need to be girded? Maybe it’s the action I’ve been missing? I’m so tempted to Google it but I’m afraid of what I might find or how to explain it to my wife when she walks up and sees some atrocities on my phone.
