Advanced ObGyn will resume normal operation tomorrow, January 22nd! Some of you may have received an automated message stating that we were closed due to Winter Weather. Unfortunately, we are not going to be able to open today as we'd hoped! Weather conditions prevented enough staff to make it to safely to our office and our lab company is closed which prevents us from being able to see a number of patients as well. Our office will be closed Monday, January 15 due to the Winter Weather Warning. We will automatically contact you to re-schedule once we re-open. As long as the hospitals allow for surgeries to take place tomorrow, we will still do surgeries. We will share that information with surgery patients as it becomes available. A decision has not yet been made for Tuesday. Our physicians will remain on-call as normal and can be reached by calling our office. We're so grateful for the kindness and generosity shown by the Huntsville Hospital OB Emergency Department! It's a wonderful way to help Dr. Conrad's legacy to live on!
The Rocket City lost an amazing caregiver with the passing of OB-GYN Dr. Michael Conrad, but his legacy lives on in our Pediatric Unit. Following Dr. Conrad’s death in July, our OB Emergency Department staff took up a collection in his memory to purchase toys for the activity rooms where hospitalized children can go to play, watch movies and cuddle with our lovable facility dog Orbit.🐕🦺 “Knowing how important kids were to Dr. Conrad, he would really love this,” said Dr. Julie Grimes, Medical Director of our OB Emergency Department (second from right in the photo).

We have gotten a number of questions about the future of the practice. First off, we are not going anywhere and are so grateful for the opportunity to continue serving you! Due to the long nature of his illness, we were able to make plans to continue providing the same excellent care our patients are accustomed to. We do not anticipate any changes and plan to continue serving our wonderful patients!
