And they’re off….We are excited for one of our newest teams, Astrid & her handler, Makayla, as they begin their work at Athens-Limestone County Public Library as part of the library’s Read To a Therapy Dog program!

Big News! We are adding additional Read to a Therapy Dog programs! We have two new friends joining us from Partners, Inc. Makayla and Astrid.
They will be with us on the first and third Thursdays of each month.

The nurses at St. Jude Children's Hsv. are always looking after their patients with understanding and support. They, too, benefit from spending time with our therapy animals.
Sully's soft coat and his long eye lashes are irresistible. The smiles last long after the visit is finished.

Studio 60 Rosie is a sweet English Cocker Spaniel who is a great listener and confidant.

Ryn and her handler, Carolyn will be visiting the Madison City Senior Center on July 22nd.

Meet Mason, a two year old Lab mix. He is our newest canine to visit the Huntsville Hospital Pediatric floor. He has his own steps that help him get up to be with his new friends. He is a natural at snuggling!
Mason is loved and chauffeured by Jennie.

WAIT before greeting a new dog.
ASK for permission "May I pet your dog?"
Followed by "Where does your dog like to get pets? Most dogs like to have their back of their ears stroked or under the chin....but NOT on the top of their cute heads! They can't see what's going on up there so it's best to pet their ears or under the chin or wherever their human directs.

Attendees of the South Central Conference met with Wrigley, Jasper, and Miller (he's kinda camera shy) through out the morning. There were plenty of smiles to go around!
