Our physical office will be closed and our team members who have power and internet will be working remotely today, Thursday, May 9th. This is due to power outages, unsafe roads, and continued tornado watches in our area.

We had an absolute BLAST Thursday at the Apartment Association of North Alabama's 2024 Trade Show. The them was "Blast from the Past - Decades," but there was no specification on what century we had to choose from, so we chose the 1820s. 😜 We set ourselves up as the Bridgerton cast, complete with Lady Danbury, Queen Charlotte, and of course, Queen Charlotte's Emotional Support Pomeranian, and we debuted the lovely Holly Ray as this season's "Diamond of the First Water."

Our booth's theme was "Sarah Taggart, PC - because property management is messy" and we gave away gourmet custom soaps to "clean it up." For those who were asking where we got the soaps, they came from a local small woman-owned and operated business, Bloom & Bar Soap. They are decadent soaps and we all love them!

So many WONDERFUL memories were made for our team Thursday night. Thank you AANA for another absolutely amazing Trade Show!

We are closed today in observation of the holiday.
We shall return on Monday at 9am.

Yesterday I had the privilege of participating in the Alabama Apartment Association's meeting in Montgomery. We had a wonderful time and it was very productive meeting. I am proud to be serving another year representing the interests of my clients on the board for the Alabama Apartment Association.

It should be noted that someone working from home is not necessarily operating a home-based business; remote work options have increased significantly in the last few years. That being said, please remember that allowing tenants to run home-based businesses from your rental property can come with significant liabilities.
