We had an unfortunate accident involving a semi-truck and our power pole! End result is no power and that means no tacos. Really crappy way for Taco Tuesday to go.

We are hopeful that we will have things up and running for tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

We are now into the third month of the Taco Hut Takeover! Thank you all who have visited us these past three months. I appreciate every person who comes in and chooses us for a meal. I wanted to give you all an update on some of the new things we have going here at The Hut!

1) Starting tomorrow on Taco Tuesday: DOLE WHIP! If you haven't tried dole whip before, you seriously need to. Especially on these hot summer days after you've woofed a couple of tacos. We currently have pineapple dole whip, but will rotate flavors regularly. Dole whip is like a soft serve ice cream, but it is non-dairy. Super light and refreshing but still creamy. You will not be disappointed!

2) Prices: I promised I'd be lowering some prices, and have done so. Many of your favorite items are cheaper than they were three months ago. Burritos, Sanchos, Tostadas, Supremo's, Kids Meals and more. I'd put Taco Hut's value against any other restaurant in town.

3) Online Ordering and Door Dash: You can now order to go from us directly online at taco-hut.square.site. Or, you can have your food delivered right to your door via Door Dash. Either way, more ways to get the food you have loved for so long.

4) Taco Tuesdays: Finally open on Tuesday's. And not only open, but it's the best day if you are looking for tacos and/or taco burgers. $1 Tacos, $2 Soft Tacos and $2 Taco Burgers.

5) Beer: You can now grab a Modelo to wash down all those tasty cheap tacos! And only $2 per bottle!

Overall, I think we are bringing incredible value and new ways to enjoy Taco Hut, all while keeping the important stuff just how you remember it. So, what more can we say than "We'll Meet Ya At The Hut!"

Taco Tuesday has started off with a bang!

We had four folks who stepped up for the 20 Taco Challenge. Of the four, we had one succeed! Congrats Anthony Evans!

And he didn’t even need the whole 30 minutes!

The relentless mocking can finally stop! I know we were probably the only taco restaurant closed on Taco Tuesdays, but no longer! Starting this week, open every Tuesday!

School is out and summer is right around the corner!

One exciting announcement: The Tunes are Back! After a few years, or maybe a decade or so, the jukebox is back in action. Come in today to hit up your favorite tunes.

A couple other things:

1) Kids Meals are still half off all day long every Wednesday and Thursday. Regularly priced at $4.99, it's hard to beat $2.50 kids meals. With no preservatives, no dyes, made from scratch meat and beans, it's hard to find a more wholesome deal for kids.

2) Starting next Wednesday we will be open until 9:00 pm. We will have $1.00 hard tacos every night from 8-9 pm just to celebrate!

More than any time in the recent past, finding affordable, yet quality food is hard to do. One of the things that I am working really hard to do here at Taco Hut is to provide great value for good, wholesome, made from scratch food.

Starting tomorrow when we open we are bringing you a couple new ways for value.

First: bringing back the Taco Packs! 6 packs of hard tacos priced at $7.49 and 12 packs at $14.49!

Second: lowering the cost of Kids Meals from $5.95 down to $4.99. We aren't changing the portions or anything else about the Kids Meals other than the price.

Third: every Wednesday and Thursday we will offer Half Priced Kids Meals with the purchase of one adult dinner. As long as one adult is buying a meal, you can feed all the kiddos for $2.50 a pop! This will be a limited time offering, so get it while you can.

Fourth: Over the next few weeks, I will be LOWERING the cost of some of your favorite menu items. So if you are a regular and notice that you are paying a bit less than you have this past year or two, that is not a mistake. Lowering menu prices doesn't happen very often, and I'm really thrilled that we are able to do that. I'm not saying it'll be huge discounts, but I know very well that every penny counts these days.

Again, I'm not cutting portions, changing products, or in any way changing how we make things here. I've seen a few comments online about how certain things are "different." Other than changing the cheese blade to make a smaller shredded cheese and shredding our lettuce in house, literally no product, no recipe, no portion size, NOTHING has been purposely changed. Everything should be exactly as you are used to it, and if it isn't, please talk to us in the store or message me directly about what is different. Feedback is important to us and I will always try to do right by whoever chooses us for a meal.

With that said, only thing left is: "We'll Meet Ya At The Hut!"

Week one is in the bag and we are on to week 2!

Going to be honest - had a few hiccups the first week. But, I hope to improve each week until we are running at 100%! I am certain that this week we will be faster and more consistent. Which is what we will strive for each week.

One major problem we have are call ahead orders. We are never able to answer the phone when we are busy. So to make your and our lives easier, we now offer online ordering!

T-Minus 30 Minutes!

We are so excited to get back to serving you delicious tacos, taco burgers and nachos! Same great stuff, just a few different faces.

Hope you all stop in! Maybe not all just today - as there are always first day hiccups, but hope to see lots of you over the next few weeks to give us a try.

Alright ya'll, Meet Ya At The Hut!

We are on schedule to be open as planned next week! And so excited!

So many people have told me that we are nuts to be closed on Taco Tuesdays. The Hut has been closed on Tuesdays for years and years (possibly longer than I have been alive). As we get our legs under us, we will eventually be open on Tuesdays. Just have to build up our staff and routines first.

Until that moment, we are going to do Taco Drop Tuesdays. We will pick one or a couple lucky businesses in town to get a lunch of free tacos and taco burgers. If you work in an office, warehouse, police station, restaurant, or even from home, drop your business and number of staff and you may receive a bunch of free tacos on Taco Drop Tuesday.

Can’t wait to get back to serving you from the Hut! See you all next week.

This is my very first post from the Taco Hut page! I want to again thank Angie Brooks for the very smooth handover of the restaurant and I am so incredibly excited to be able to continue the Hut legacy for many more years!

I do have some bad news to share. The City has requested that we implement a few things before we open up to the public again. Changing ownership always comes with some new inspections and new regulations. So, there are a couple of things I have to get nailed down in the building. Nothing major, and only things that will make the place overall a safer building for everyone.

First official day for the re-opening will be next Wednesday at 11:00 AM. Don't expect to see major changes, rather, it will be your regular ol' Taco Hut, just with a few new people slinging the tacos.

We are actively hiring for both days and evenings. Pay starts at $12/hr, but will consider higher pay for qualified candidates. Looking for one full time person and several part timers. People with previous Taco Hut experience are also very welcome! Message me here to set up an interview this week!

Angie and Lynn are so moved by the outpouring of appreciation we have been getting from everyone! Believe me when we say we will miss everyone is an understatement! Looking forward to the next chapter. Thank you ❤️ We always thought of our customers as friends and family. We also watched kids grow up and were sad when we saw some others had passed away. We have cherished our time with you but we will see you out and about but until then thank you for the memories!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I started working here when I was in high school and before that cleaning tables when I was little when my mom worked here! So I’m very sad to say I sold the business. I grew up with this place and it was like my second home all of these years (literally). My mom’s last day was Saturday now she can enjoy going to do things and I want to say a very big thank you to her for working her butt off all these years to help me out!!! I will be there nights next week to train the new crew. Tyler Davis of Bogeys will be taking over and I hope all of you show him the same love you’ve shown me all these years. I just want to thank every one of my customers that have been there for us through thick and thin! I will miss everyone so much. It’s bittersweet to think that’s been my life the past 40 years on and off. I’ve seen kids grow up and some of you are like family! I’ll miss you all so much!! Best of luck to Tyler in this new adventure!

I never thought I would have to explain myself about what I do with my own business but here goes! I have owned this for 12 years and I have always put customers first and tried to get the food out in a timely manner no matter how busy we are and we cook the food fresh every day. Actually my mom does. She is 78 years old and works her butt off and I appreciate everything she does down there. We have 5 employees including me and some can’t work when you need them to. So 2 of us are working 12-14 hour days because we have to. If someone applies I’ve had everything from I can’t work this to I can’t lift that to not coming in at all or I need 12-15 dollars an hour. Well being a small business I can’t pay that. It’s enough stress for what I deal with on a daily basis with dealing with what I have to do and work on top of that. So when we need to close early or close the whole day it’s also because maybe we need a day to de stress if we are sick or just trying to take care of ourselves so we can be the best we can be at work then that’s on us and if I need to close to accomplish that I can. So while I appreciate the comments please just know we are doing the best we can with what we have and don’t need the guessing on why because I don’t need permission to take care of the people I care about.
