This Saturday August 24th is the start of and Thornhill Championship Series Fall Edition. Also a track pipe change is happening this week.

Friday Practice is a normal practice day and costs $15

RV's and trailers must park in the grass areas and CAN NOT plug into track power!

The Thornhill Championship series will be in two editions in 2024. The spring for the first half and fall for the second half. Each edition will have it’s own awards at the end of the 5 races. There will be one drop allowed in each edition. At the end of the entire series an overall champion will be awarded for each class by combining the points minus drops for each edition. We have selected the most participated classes from previous series and have included two spec tire classes as well. The spec tire is going to be the sweep defender tire in any compound. The only thing that will be checked is the tread pattern which has to remain unaltered.

Points are awarded for qualifying and the mains. Qualifying accounts for up to 50 points dropping 1 point for each position. The mains are worth up to 200 points dropping 2 points for each position. TQ is worth 1 point. Attendance points for each race will be 5 points this year, attendance points count for all races attended.

There will be 3 quals and then mains if the number of heat races is 10 or less. If there is more heat races than 10 there will only be 2 quals and then mains.

We changed up the program and ran 1 seeding qual with 3 mains. Then we changed up the starting order of the mains, first main was by qual finish, then stacked lineup (2x2), and the third was reverse order stacked.

The Dirt Lonestar Challenge 2024 Layout Fly-over hosted by Thornhill Racing Circuit

The 2024 The Dirt Lonestar Challenge is this week May 17-19. A full fresh layout has been put in and the hobbyshop is stocked up. We extended the practice some on Friday as well. The layout will not disappoint on this one. It definitely checks all the boxes.

You can still signup online(https://thedirt.us) or the day of the event.

Here is some important info you will need:
-Pit tables are first come first serve
-We have over 100 pit tables available
-RV's and trailers must park in the grass areas and CAN NOT plug into track power!
-Bring a table/chair/ezup/extension cord if you can just in case our pit areas fills up.
-There will be a taco stand right by the pit area that will even have breakfast tacos. The stand will only be open on Saturday and Sunday but on Friday the hobbyshop snack bar will have hotdogs, chips, drinks, etc available.

We will not be open this week as we prepare for the 2024 The Dirt Lonestar Challenge next week May 17-19. A full fresh layout is being put in and the hobbyshop is getting stocked up. We are expecting a big turnout so make plans to attend.

Wow! Busy weekend here at Thornhill.
On Saturday we hosted the MSM Spec Slash Series rd 2. We had 65 entries. There were a ton of new racers experiencing Thornhill Racing Circuit for the first time, it was awesome!!

It appears many liked the Sunday Club day racing. We may explore doing some Sunday Club racing. We also had a few new racers and San Antonio racers join us.
