Facebook is taking this situation seriously and is actively investigating.

We’re looking for a Hardware Sales Associate to join our team! If you’re passionate about customer service, knowledgeable in hardware products, and eager to be part of a business that supports the heart of the community, we’d love to hear from you.

About Us:
Ilion True Value Hardware is a local, independently owned business with deep roots in the community. Supporting local, independent, family-owned businesses is vital as it directly contributes to the local economy by creating jobs and keeping money circulating within our community. We help preserve the unique character of Ilion and provide the personalized customer service that larger chains may lack. When you join our team, you become part of something bigger than just a store—together, we help build a stronger community by reinvesting profits back into the local area.

Position Details:
This is a part-time position with hours ranging from 10-20 per week, including weekends, and is located in Ilion, New York. A minimum of 1 year of retail or marketing experience is required.

What We’re Looking For:
We seek candidates with a strong working knowledge of hardware-related products, including plumbing, electrical, and home improvement. A commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence is essential. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, experience with POS systems and basic computer skills (Google Docs a plus), and the comfort to perform manual tasks such as glass cutting, screen repairs, and lawn mower maintenance. Candidates must also be physically able to stand for long periods and lift over 50 lbs.

This year marks our 50th anniversary, a milestone we’re incredibly proud of!

Yes, there have been a few days when we’ve had to close—decisions that were not made lightly. Staffing challenges, along with Mike needing time to recharge and recover from health issues, made it necessary. Your patience, understanding, and continued support mean the world to us.
