During Hispanic Heritage Month, Van Horn will be raising money for Cambio para Cambio. This is an amazing opportunity for Van Han through the Hispanic Development Fund, an organization in the KC metro that awards scholarships to students. Funds raised between September 15th-October 15th are matched and go directly back to our students who receive a scholarship in the Spring. Please join us in supporting our students by donating and sharing this fundraising page!

Together, we can create more scholarship opportunities and empower Hispanic students in our community. Join me and help make a difference, please give today. Last year I saw the Hispanic Development Fund change lives. Mark your calendars! ISD graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2022 will be held at each high school's stadium on Saturday, May 28th with Van Horn High School at 9 a.m., Truman High School at 10:30 a.m. and William Chrisman High School at 12 p.m.

Falcons touring Northwest Missouri State University this week

The Independence School District is partnering with the City of Independence to offer the COVID-19 vaccine for those students 12 and older who choose as well as ISD parents and guardians. You and your student can receive the free Pfizer vaccine at Van Horn High School on Tuesday, July 13th between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Fully vaccinated students will not be required to quarantine in the event an individual in close proximity tests positive for Covid-19.
