We were very excited to see the results of our logo. Our marketing team at Premier Sotheby's International Realty was able to give us something unique and meaningful to us. Last year while visiting my 97 year old grandmother during Christmas she gifted me The Tyson Genealogy of Pitt County NC book which in the first few pages was the Coat of Arms of the Tyson Family and on the banner "FORTITER ET VIGILANTER" in Latin, loosely translated to bold and vigilant. Within the spirit of keeping it simple the helmet and some of the mantling was removed as well as the gold and green colors to create the icon. It is a great representation of the original.

The first recording of one form of the name "Tison" meaning "firebrand" is in the Doomsday Book in 1086. Next in 1092, Guillame Tyson was recorded as a counselor and advisor to King William I, WIlliam the Conqueror. The Doomsday Book listed all the property owners in King William's newly conquered territory.
