As we near the end of Mental Health Awareness Month, we would like to share a quick, helpful tip.

What is mental health?
It’s a state of well-being that affects how you think, act, feel, and perceive reality.

One way to improve your mental health is through daily habits, such as a simple five-minute breathing exercise:

Try breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth; counting to five during each inhale; and again during each exhale.

Participating in such exercises can help calm or relax your body’s nervous system and regulate the neurotransmitters that influence your mood and emotions.
