Clock redo
Hillbilly clock #2.

Well here it is, my hill billy wall clock!

Tree face
Another one. Lol!

Tree faces
Picked these concrete face features up at my local ReStore a couple a years ago.and just now found them in a box that got put up.

Repurposed light fixtures
So I have removed the glass, electrical parts, any other unnecessary objects of weight, and have put the smaller one on a hanging plant metal rod, the big one hanging from some 1 inch pipe I drove into the ground, and finally the old dining room fixture hanging under the patio cover structure. I did drill water drainage holes in each fixture exposed out in the elements and have yet decided on how to make and add candle 🕯 holders that will keep the candles secure. Yes Teddy approves. I hope this will inspire you with your back yard lighting atmosphere and to do a little crazy stuff with those old light fixtures. Great placed to find them is at your local Habitat for Humanity ReStore of Facebook Marketplace.

Repurposed them
Changed out 3 ceiling fixtures and now I’m going to convert them to wax candle lighting for the outside in the back yard.

Fancy picture frame
Brown accelerate by Varathane. Evened out the 4 different wood tones rather nicely.

Purchased several unique works of art from Asheville, NC, where I would have to declare the nations capital for a wide variety of artists. We acquire 3 from water color artist Melissa Moss. I decided to give all 3 a very special frame to display them together. The pictures are just sitting on top right now and will be installed later after the glass is in place.

Except for the glass it’s done.

Added a little character on the outside edges. Lol! So I can create some pretty cool picture frames but I can NOT get the inside measurements correct. Yes I have vision issues and my measureing ability as well. The precut glass was larger than the opening. So I cut 4 crosscuts 1/2 inch deep on my table saw to widen the inside space and then filled the slots with thin strips of wood. Fixed 👍

Posting this just because Facebook will ask me to post something, lol! Got some free wood cutoffs and my family needs/wants picture frames. This one is actually 3 frames in one. Opposite corners are designed differently just because I don’t do normal. 🤪🤪 All corners are glued however I used wood screws on the mitered corners then covered up with the outside wood band. The square cut corners are overlaping cuts with pegs to add strength so if you need to use it as a weapon it won’t fall apart. 😃

Dr Jekyll’s ELIXIR BLENDER. Design done now just paint and copper colored background panels. Rain is coming mist of this coming week. Damn!

Left sidecontrol panel getting there. Shouldn’t be too much longer before I get to the right side panel.

Finally moving on to stage #3 of this giant of a creation after completing stages 1 & 2 except for the painting. The white table will hold up the faux control panel with power source and electrical/mechanical connections to give it a realistic look. Afterwards stage #4 on the far side as well, but first I’ve got to clean off my shirt of the coffee I just spilled while looking over this post. 🤪🤪🤪

Today is F/D day, final do day before I break it all down, clean it and paint it. Just possibly one or two areas of need and that’s a wrap!

Left side of tge 8 x 4 pipe section is designed. I will clean it up and paint it after the right side 4 x4 is built.

Next creation. More test equipment to work into my soon to be biggest steampunkish/industrial project. Also have 2 more boxes not shown. Facebook is on my case for not posting enough. Lol!

Getting back in the groove. I have been commissioned to create some wall art out of all this testing equipment. Several pieces of wall art. Time to get my crazy cool on.
