Couldn’t share where this quite large art works (steampunk) creation that is displayed until now at the owners request. So if you would like to see it in person you now know where, downtown Waxhaw, NC.
Looks like a lot more steampunk art work projects are coming my way. Stay tuned as I share the results.
Well nothing new other than a couple of racks. Been catching up on some much needed yard work. I do have something new possibly in the works as wall art.
Mantel look change up. Slip on cover and used a weathered look aging accelerator stain to make it grey.

Hillbilly clock #2.
Remember me posting that this was the next clock redo? Next post will be a video of what all those parts look like put together and working. For some reason Facebook won’t let me post stills and videos together.
Did not take a photo of what the Hillbilly clock looked like before it was transformed in to what it looks like now. The first photo was pretty close to what it once was.
This clock got a little added wood around the edges and a grey age accelerator staining treatment to match the 3-picture wood frame on the other side of the family room.
Next clock to transform into a raw wood exterior. After all, this is fun. But I need to cut the grass first, damn it!
Before and then after adding the hillbilly bling. 🤪🤪🤪
You can’t keep an old man down. Was given some scrap wood cutoffs by an Englishman and decided to give my wall clock a facelift. I have discovered that cutting a perfectly round hole with a jigsaw and bad eyes just isn’t my best trait these days. Making something normal look interesting is. Just finished the housing for now. Stay tuned.
LOl!
I’m in the 3 project mode and 1 is a dresser refurbishing and 2 are working on the home place honey due list.
Beautiful Unique Cabin in the Forest! 😍
Taken time away from my creative side for some personal issues around the home place.
Time for something new.
Stay tuned.
Another one. Lol!
Picked these concrete face features up at my local ReStore a couple a years ago.and just now found them in a box that got put up.
So I have removed the glass, electrical parts, any other unnecessary objects of weight, and have put the smaller one on a hanging plant metal rod, the big one hanging from some 1 inch pipe I drove into the ground, and finally the old dining room fixture hanging under the patio cover structure. I did drill water drainage holes in each fixture exposed out in the elements and have yet decided on how to make and add candle 🕯 holders that will keep the candles secure. Yes Teddy approves.
I hope this will inspire you with your back yard lighting atmosphere and to do a little crazy stuff with those old light fixtures. Great placed to find them is at your local Habitat for Humanity ReStore of Facebook Marketplace.
Check this out! The hanging ring broke off as I was dismantling the chandelier that was hanging from a 2 story high ceiling in the entryway. Changing out this fixture was done in the nick of time.
Changed out 3 ceiling fixtures and now I’m going to convert them to wax candle lighting for the outside in the back yard.
Just finished with 2 coats of Minwax matte clear finish as shown on table. The rope molding on this one is actually a rope design curtain rod split down the middle lengthwise. I’ll dress up those two trash cans in the backdrop in the near future. Thinking an invisible coating except for the lids. 🤪
Brown accelerate by Varathane. Evened out the 4 different wood tones rather nicely.
Last few pieces to lightly glam up my sister-in-law’s picture frame before it gets a aged look browning treatment. Takes a lot of patience trying to get these moldings to stay in place as they get glued and clamped into place. They like to move under pressure. Yes I have an air compressor, nail gun, and nails, but that would be the easy way.
#2 of 2 big picture frames for my sister-in-law. This one will be just a touch fancier than #1 because of the beautiful oil painting that will be displayed in it. Not sure what the finished color will be yet. Glad I got more wood clamps.
