Teamsters in Three States File Unfair Labor Practice Charges Against Pepsi (RIDGE PARK, Ill.) – Five Teamsters local unions in three states have filed unfair labor practice (ULP) charges against Pepsi with the National Labor Relation

Pepsi Teamsters are going back to the table this week with the company. Every Member is welcome to attend negotiations! Make sure it’s before work, after work, or a day off. We are also meeting this Saturday, April 20th at 9am and 4pm to give updates and to take a strike vote. Remember this is your contract and it’s time for the company to give you what you deserve!

The contract expires on April 26, 2024 and the company has only provided four days to meet. NOT GOOD ENOUGH! THESE MEMBERS ARE READY TO FIGHT FOR A CONTRACT THEY DESERVE!

VICTORY FOR PEPSI INDY MEMBERS!

Fresh off of the heels of our victory for members at SGW&S, news came in last night of yet another win for our members, however, this win is for Local 135 members working at Pepsi covered by the Indianapolis Collective Bargaining Agreement.

In an 11th-hour, pre-arbitration settlement, after the Company stalling for nearly three-years, Pepsi agrees to pay Local 135 members a total of $37,500 to be divided amongst those affected, in settlement of a grievance protesting its failure to deduct employees’ health insurance contributions before taxes. In addition, Pepsi agreed that it would deduct the employees’ contributions pre-tax, which reduces the employees’ tax liability.

Pepsi local 135 Teamsters are gearing up for contract negotiations! Their contract expires April 2024 and it is time for Pepsi to give these members what they deserve!!!

We are having our next meeting! It’s very important for you to have the opportunity to speak about your concerns! Please attend this meeting because your voice matters!

Today Local 135 President, Dustin Roach, joined in on a National call with the IBT Beverage Division Director and other Local Unions around the country. The Beverage Division leadership wants to hear directly from our membership around the country regarding issues and concerns of our Pepsi (and in some areas Frito-Lay) members as there are many contracts all over the country covering our brothers and sisters.

A survey will be sent to ALL Pepsi members immediately, including Local 135 members. Once you receive it, we’re asking that you respond immediately. This will help us with coordinating our efforts on a National level. With a contract coming up in 2024, this information is crucial, so please look for it in the mail within the next few days.

Did you know there are approximately 20,000 members nationwide working for PepsiCo out of over 90 different Teamster Local Unions?

For the first time, 135 has engaged in coordinated efforts with other Locals to build our solidarity and bargain stronger contracts around us to help increase industry and area standards. We have been at the table with Local 414 and are currently in Iowa at Local 90 (pictured below) for negotiations.

Additionally, President Roach is working with Local 344 on a potential GEO-Conversion from commission to hourly. This is all in an effort to ensure when we get to the table in 2024, we have support from members around the country to finally win the contract we deserve, in addition, when other Locals need support, we’ll be there for them.💪

This vision of coordinating our efforts to win in ways we haven’t in the past is what our new Local’s leadership has focused in on, as well as our International. Huge shout out to the hardworking Union Stewards at the Indianapolis Pepsi facilities! Your Union leaders stood up to the company in regards to disparate treatment around the attendance policy. The company and the Union came to an agreement to zero out all members’ attendance and return 14 members back to work! This is what a United Member Driven Union Shop is all about!
