Plumbing 101: Visiting with friends and I hear the toilet constantly turning on and off. I found that the excess chain for the flapper was getting caught underneath the flapper so it wasn’t getting a tight seal, allowing water to drain from the tank and eventually causing the fill valve to kick on. I did away with the excess chain to fix the problem. So to all of my plumbing friends and students, when replacing a flapper, make sure that if there’s any excess chain, to shorten it up or secure it in place to make sure it can’t get caught under the flapper when the toilet is flushed. 😀

On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress adopted the "Stars and Stripes" as the original American flag. The design of the flag has changed over the years, most notably the addition of 37 stars. President Woodrow Wilson made June 14th the official day of observance on May 30, 1916. Do you have an American flag that is torn and unserviceable? Please bring those to David Heffner at Winsupply of Indianapolis and he will make sure that these get properly retired.

How many of you have ever had a leak under the kitchen sink whether it was from the faucet, garbage disposal or the reverse osmosis drinking water system? These types of leaks can literally do thousands of dollars in water damage to the flooring and surrounding structure. Consider putting a mat under the sink along with a leak detector that will let you know when there is a water leak under the sink. 😀

It’s national hug a plumber day!! And we love our plumbers here !!!

Some”remodeling” in the Indy Showroom today. We removed an old wall hung vanity that we had for years, but kept the Cambria quartz top. Amanda Joi Andrews ordered new Strasser vanities and we now have a beautiful addition to our vanity collection. 😀

The Showroom is being filmed this morning for the production of a virtual tour that we can post on our website and social media. Of course on Wednesday’s, it’s fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, so we incorporated that into the filming as well. We hope to be posting our virtual tour in the next few weeks. Please stay tuned! 😀

Today is Monday, April 8, 2024 and we’re getting ready for the total solar eclipse this afternoon. We have tee shirts and eclipse glasses to give away. Come on in when you can and just hang out if you want to witness the solar eclipse from our parking lot. 😀
