1LT Stephanie Martinez is a graduate of IUPUI and participated in the Indiana National Guard's (ROTC) Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP) with the Capital Warrior Battalion Army ROTC program.

She was recently recognized by West Point - The U.S. Military Academy's Center for Junior Officers as one of the top 30 junior officers under 31 years old who has demonstrated excellence in the “Develops Others” realm of leadership. Potential candidates for this prestigious leadership award come from all three components of the U.S. Army, including the Army National Guard, Active Duty (US Army Recruiting Command (USAREC)), and U.S. Army Reserve.

The Capital Warrior Battalion U.S. Army Cadet Command (ROTC) program recently had the opportunity to host students from the Marion High School JROTC program. These high school students were given an IUPUI campus tour and participated in an informal Q&A session with our cadets.

Along with other students from IUPUI, cadets from the Capital Warrior Battalion U.S. Army Cadet Command (ROTC) competed in the 2022 IUPUI Regatta.

We may not have taken home the gold, however, our cadets still loved the opportunity to compete and work on their ability to accomplish the mission while working as members of a team.

As Soldiers we work hard, but we also play hard! Today the Capital Warrior Battalion played flag football in place of their normal physical fitness training. Today the Red Team prevailed thanks to their amazing quarterback skills.
