Harley's House Rescue
We are a compassionate refuge for abandoned and neglected ducks, offering them a second chance.
We got to have extra special hugs with Ezra tonight. He's a beautiful boy we adopted from Waddle On Inn rescue, inc ❤️ 😍
We got extra special time with sweet Alden tonight. He and his BFF Alfred were 2 of 6 that were rescued after being dumped at an apartment complex in Ohio. It is an absolute joy to be a part of them thriving.
Some of our handsome boys 😍
This is Axel and Aubrey's favorite hangout. Axel loves to perch! 💚
Meet Arnie, a fawn and white runner, and Ansel, a Welsh Harlequin. These boys were dumped at a park in Wilmington, DE.
Ansel was a group of 6 who were dumped in the spring. His 5 buddies were rescued but he slipped through. Shortly thereafter, 4 more were dumped and he was welcomed into their flock. Recently, efforts were successful in rescuing all 5 of the remaining domestic ducks. Arnie and Ansel were amongst this group.
They have had quite the journey before landing in their forever home, which is filled with nothing but love. They are absolutely beautiful and they're fitting in so well already. 😍
Noah action shot with Alfred and Alden admiring.
Noah had his first visitors today... the wonderful family that took care of him until the perfect home came along. They graciously brought a big bag of food and the kiddie pool in the picture. He is beginning to venture out, greeting new friends. 💚
This is a precious boy that someone dumped at a church a month ago. Thankfully, a concerned church member was immediately aware that he needed to be rescued and began to reach out to find someone that could help.
The name was requested by their 7 year old son and how could we resist that!?! Noah it is!
We are truly blessed our paths crossed and he is now a much loved member of our family. 💚 🦆
Henley LOVES fresh straw day!
Waddle On Inn rescue, inc he's one of the Georgia boys we adopted from you. 💚
Hendricks has been added to the downspout collection. 😍
Alfred found a tuft of grass to "hide" for a quick nap.
Hudson politely asking for a pea refill 💚
Some random shots from today.
The boys are enjoying their hangout spot.
Axel and Aubry proving, in all of their handsomeness, that ducks do not need a pond to be happy. They literally nap here.
Daily gossip at the mister, trying to stay cool and 😎
Absolutely in love with our new downspout, aka Alden. 😍
Abner is having a blast with the hose. Literally water off of a duck's back! Holden, Amos, and Arlo are joining in the fun.
Harvey and Hunter...ok, mostly Harvey, enjoying their evening treat of peas.
This is Axel's go to hang out spot. He loves to perch. His best buddy, Aubry, is never far away.
Alfred and Alden sharing their favorite shady, and firm, spot 💚
Oliver and Otto snuggling in a shady spot today. 💚
Such handsome boys!!
Atlas, Alfred, Alden, Howie, Henry, and Hugo. ❤️
These two, Harvey and Hunter, are bffs. 😍
Harvey, an Indian Runner, came from a local owner that had too many drakes. He is the sweetest boy ever!!
Hunter, a Khaki Campbell, was also rehomed because he was displaying aggressive behavior with another drake in their flock. He has been a perfect gentleman here and welcomed Harvey without issue.
They're adorably inseparable! 💚
The boys are enjoying the downpour this evening.
I must've captured a raindrop in motion in the second picture which made a cool effect.
Otto and Oliver relaxing before bedtime
Apparently Alden prefers a firm pillow. 😆
These two always have to be involved and oversee everything, especially when it involves the ducks. 😆
Atlas was the first one to check out their new cozy area. He approves❤️
Another marketplace score today. It even has a kitchen sink, but it's a tad high for them to do their dishes. That's their excuse anyway. 😆
$25 marketplace score for the boys!! They love to be cozy.
Our big boys, Oliver and Otto, creating some major waves. They are living their best lives now after being rescued from a horrible neglect case earlier this year. They now know unconditional love.
Just a duck in a truck. 😆 Hendricks on his way to his forever home at Harley's House Rescue. Jennifer Burcham
