This month, we proudly honor Trent King, our esteemed Shop Foreman, as he celebrates an incredible 20 years with Tom Wood Subaru. Trent's journey with us has been nothing short of inspiring, marked by dedication, skill, and a passion for excellence that has shaped our team profoundly.

At a special luncheon this week, Trent was surrounded by colleagues and friends who shared stories of his early days, including the story about when "Trent started working here, as a young teenager, he had to work alongside two of the grumpiest people alive." But through hard work and perseverance, Trent not only overcame challenges but thrived, earning the respect and admiration of everyone around him.

Our GM; Scot Reckley, speaking on behalf of the entire team, highlighted Trent's journey—from his first days to becoming an indispensable leader in our company. Trent was presented with a well-deserved twenty years of service certificate, recognizing his unwavering commitment and invaluable contributions to our success.

Reflecting on this milestone, Trent shared his gratitude, particularly touched by the personal thanks from Jeff and John Wood. For Trent, the highlight of the day wasn't just the accolades but the affirmation of his hard work and dedication over the years.
As we celebrate Trent's remarkable achievements, we look forward to the future with optimism and excitement, knowing that his leadership will continue to inspire us all. Here's to the next 20 years and beyond, Trent! Thank you for being an integral part of the Tom Wood Subaru family.

HAPPY FLAG DAY! Check out Bill Vickery's ride: the legendary HMMWV, better known as the Humvee!

This 1987 model saw action in the Gulf War, specifically in Operation Desert Storm, which ran from January 17th to February 28th, 1991. In just six weeks, the USA showcased its military might and emerged victorious.

In honor of Flag Day, a time to celebrate our nation’s symbol, Bill says he is proud when he gets to drive this Humvee in the Carmel Festival's Fourth of July parade and that it’s an honor to give rides to our Vietnam Vets, who have more than earned it!

Here’s to remembering our victories and celebrating our heroes!

🌟 Employee Spotlight! 🌟

Yesterday, we received a heartwarming call from Mr. Haycroft, a resident of Plainfield, who wanted to share his recent experience. He initially visited a competitor's dealership in search of parts for his vehicle. Unfortunately, he felt like just another number and was met with a lack of customer service.

But when he called the parts department here at Tom Wood Subaru and spoke with Tyrone Walker, everything changed! Mr. Haycroft told us that Tyrone went above and beyond, keeping his promises and providing the necessary parts. He was truly impressed by Tyrone's dedication to excellent customer service.

Mr. Haycroft expressed his gratitude, saying he felt genuinely cared for and appreciated. Thanks to Tyrone’s outstanding service, he has decided he will never go back to our competitor again!

🌟🌟🌟 Our Team's Heartfelt Visit to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital! 🌟🌟🌟

On 6/6/24, a group of our dedicated staff at Tom Wood Subaru had the honor of visiting Peyton Manning Children's Hospital to deliver 80 blankets and Patient Care kits through our beloved initiative, "Subaru Loves to Care."

We had the pleasure of meeting with Certified Child Life Specialist, Laura Keefe, and her amazing team. Laura shared:

"After continued years of partnership, patients, families, and staff at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital look forward to Tom Wood Subaru's donation of blankets and art kits year after year. The soft blankets provide comfort during long stays at the hospital, while the art kits offer distraction, promote creativity, and encourage emotional expression. Child life support at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital is possible because of generous donations all year long. Peyton Manning Children's Hospital is still in need of travel size toiletries, adult coloring books, markers, colored pencils, and sensory/fidget toys."

We also work closely with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), with Campaign Development Specialist; Annabeth Stem leading the way. Annabeth shared:

"Together with Subaru, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is dedicated to making the world a better place by providing warmth and love to patients and their families. Since 2016, Subaru retailers have partnered with LLS staff to deliver co-branded blankets, messages of hope, and care kits to patients in hospitals and treatment centers. This long-standing partnership as LLS’s largest national auto partner has helped LLS reach nearly 350,000 patients, strengthen relationships with local hospitals, and connect new patients to critical resources. Since 1949, LLS has invested more than $1.7 billion in groundbreaking research, pioneering many of today's most innovative approaches."

Local Subaru retailers across the country have also rallied to raise over $1.1 million in support of our Urgent Need, Pediatric, Adolescent, and Young Adult Fund. This fund provides financial relief to help offset non-medical costs associated with treatment, including transportation, food, housing, and utilities.

June is a special month for us as it marks Subaru Loves to Care month and National Cancer Survivors Month—a time to celebrate progress in cancer treatment, reflect on milestones, and look ahead to our vision: a world without blood cancer. We are immensely grateful for Tom Wood Subaru’s continued partnership and the profound impact we can make together.

This past month, we had the pleasure of celebrating the 5-year work anniversaries of two outstanding team members: Technician Kassie Kapelinski and Sales & Leasing Consultant Austin Anderson.

Kassie has consistently demonstrated exceptional technical expertise and a commitment to excellence that has greatly enhanced our service department.

Meanwhile, Austin's dedication to customer satisfaction and his ability to build lasting relationships have been invaluable to our sales and leasing success.

Their hard work, professionalism, and positive attitudes have made a significant impact on our team and company. We are proud to honor Kassie and Austin's contributions and look forward to many more years of their continued success.

I had a fabulous experience with Michael in service on Monday. A giant piece of metal flew off a trailer and smashed into my car, leaving me stranded in rural Indiana on I-70. I thought I was going to be stuck for days. I called several Subaru dealerships in the area, and Michael listened to me and promptly provided the information I needed.

I was fortunate that Tom Wood Subaru had the wheel and tire I needed. Michael even offered to stay at work and wait for me in case I got stuck in rush hour traffic on my little spare tire. I felt so taken care of and relieved! He turned what was a horrible and scary experience into something much calmer and more secure.

When I tell people the story of how I almost died in Indiana, I refer to Tom Wood Subaru as the magical Indianapolis Subaru dealership that saved me! I don't live in Indianapolis, but if I did, I would recommend Tom Wood Subaru to everyone!

🌟 Share the Love Initiative: Celebrating Our Hometown Charity, Miracle Place! 🌟

We are thrilled to announce that through your generous support during our Share the Love initiative, we were able to present Miracle Place with a check for $42,000 last week! This brings our total contributions to over $200,000! 🙌❤️

Your choice to donate to Miracle Place during our Share the Love initiative has truly made a difference. This year, thanks to your support, Miracle Place is launching an incredible new program!

The original Miracle Place home is being transformed into a learning center, led by the amazing Therese Reckley. This initiative, called The Learning League, is a free after-school program for kindergarten and first-grade children, focusing on improving their reading skills. 📚✨
