We’re just a few hours away from the start of the season here at Midwest, and I wanted to send out a few reminders!

For the first month or so of the season we will be parking in the back of the Eastbrook Elementary School lot. Same as we did last year. I still have the stairs in place from last year to get down. Please stay clear of the construction zone where our ramp is going to be put into place - we’ve had it barricaded off with wood to mark the landing zone for the ramp.

We put up yellow fencing to help dictate the entrance and exit of the parking lot - it will funnel you to the token booth, on what was formerly Diamond 4. Anyone caught attempting to enter the park another way will be asked to leave - no questions asked. Gate fee is $4 this year. It can be paid via cash or card. Card payments will be using a QR code found at the gate this year - you can use Apple Pay, Cash App Pay, or by typing your card information into the box provided.

This is the first week of the season, and with that we need to complete rosters. Please, as soon as you enter the park, come to the Green Shed between Diamonds 1&2 (formerly 5&6) to pick up your team roster/waiver. It must be filled out and turned in to your umpire by the start of the third inning.

The Green Shed will also house our concession to start the year, while we wait on construction of our new bar and concession stand. We will have beer and soda available this first week, and hope to slowly add more items as we continue into the next couple of weeks. While we work to judge the demand for our smaller setup this year, we will have beer available until it runs out every night. Please be patient as we build our new pars for ordering. 16 Oz Beers are available in cans for $4. We also have a handful of Truly and Twisted Tea available for $5 each.

Diamonds are re-numbered from last year. They have signs up indicating their numbers. Old 6 is now 1. Old 5 is now 2. Old 3 is still 3.

Speaking of Diamond 3, please enter the Diamond on the third base side. Housing construction began a lot sooner than anticipated on the south end of the park, and also a lot closer than I personally imagined it would be. Please be careful along the first base and right field side of Diamond 3. We encourage any Diamond 3 spectators to do so from the third base side.

Teams! I've had a few league spots open in our rotating leagues this morning. On Monday nights, I have one open slot from the 6:00 PM Networking league and one open slot for the Networking Rotating league (2 Games/Night, 7, 8, or 9 PM). On Tuesdays, I have one spot for the 6:00 PM Networking league available.

We are excited to announce our camp and showcase series for youth fastpitch in 2024!

We have hosted the Marian University Camp & Showcase in the past, with this being the fifth iteration of the event! This year, in addition to the Marian University Camp and Showcase, we will be hosting a camp and showcase with Indiana Wesleyan University.

Each tournament will consist of a Saturday morning camp run by the respective school's coaches and players, Saturday afternoon and evening games with coaching from college players and coaches, and an end to the showcase event with more games on Sunday, and additional college coaches invited to attend.

For your players, this is an excellent opportunity to receive college level coaching and exposure. Event specific details can be found in the attached flyers. Register below!

We have a new league offering at Midwest Sports Complex for the 2024 season! Our service industry/daytime league is dedicated to those who work irregular hours and generally struggle to be available to participate in the typical evening hours they are offered. Restaurant workers, bartenders, firefighters, police officers, or anyone who generally just does not work Monday mornings available are welcome to register. Details are below.

Sorry for the lack of communication. This off-season has been different than anything we’ve done in our time at Midwest. Changes are coming, and they are for the better!

First and foremost, we will be re-opening this Spring! We anticipate leagues starting either Monday April 1 or Monday April 8. League registration link will be posted and live at the end of this Email.

As for what’s going on at the park: Fences and Dugouts have been torn down and are in the process of being replaced. Fields have been re-sodded and regraded, including a complete revamping of the infields. We will be reopening three fields with these upgrades, a new concession stand, and a new bar!

Unfortunately, the plans for our indoor facility have taken longer to get together than anticipated. We are now looking toward the late summer or early fall as a hopeful date to break ground on our new indoor space that will take the place of former Diamond #4 along with our new parking space.

We are excited to announce a change to some of our system backend and programming! We have been working with League Joe for quite some time, providing leagues and events at the park. We are excited to build upon this relationship with League Joe, switching to their web hosting for league and tournament information. We are also planning to host more League Joe events in 2024 including the return of the All Nighter!

In addition to all of this, our partnership with Fabio Sports and Sojos Capital Group does mean we will see some further facelifts. We will have more details forthcoming, but expect to see some changes to our website, marketing, payment methods, and more as we deepen that relationship.

Now for the good stuff!

Leagues are projected to begin Monday, April 1or April 8. We will be going back to our previous scheduling, planning to run 3 10-Week Sessions for our year. Pricing and information for leagues is below!

*Non-6:00 PM leagues have the ability to choose between 1 and 2 games per night (Single or Double Headers)*

League Fees:
Singleheaders: $550. Wednesday/Friday Special - $300
Doubleheaders: $750. Wednesday/Friday Special - $400
*Umpire Fees Not Included. Teams are Responsible for paying Umpires $12/Game at the Plate before the first pitch*

New Year Special:
Register by Friday, January 5 at 5:00 PM, and pay your league deposit (half of league fees), and receive $100 off. That makes Singleheaders $450 and Doubleheads $650.

Additional Fees:
$50 Sanctioning and Admin Fee for first league of the year - this is your team's insurance for the year.
$50 Refundable Forfeit Fee due upon registration confirmation - this covers no-call, no-show forfeits and forfeits in which we cannot accommodate a redistribution of games for your opponent and is refunded at the end of the season or rolled over to your next session if you remain in good standing.

Registration will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. This initial Email is to returning teams, with public offerings to come January 1.
