The Story of the Oasis at Murat
There was a time when a parched Noble was wondering through the desert, looking for a drink. Any drink to satisfy his wanted desire of adult hydration. Just when he was about to end his tiresome journey, an Oasis shined through the glimmering vision of the desert sands. Not one to miss such a glorious and thankful opportunity, he settled down at the Oasis and ordered a refreshing beverage to quench his thirst. “Murat..murat..murat” he kept saying over and over, beverage after beverage. The bartender, knowing the local languages realized that he was repeating the Arabic word for want and desire; the traveling Noble wanted and desired companionship, friendship and temperance. Thus began a tale of the time .....
As a tribute to our parched Noble, the Oasis at the Murat was born.
The Oasis is a full service lounge and restaurant located at the club side (northern part) of the Murat Shrine Temple in beautiful downtown Indianapolis. With professional bartenders and experienced chefs, we offer some of the best food available at budget friendly prices.
In addition, the Oasis at Murat is a full service catering operation and also encourages use of our club facilities for a variety of events, small gatherings to large corporate seminars to wedding ceremonies/receptions. Our location is just minutes from the One Mile Block of downtown Indianapolis, the shopping available on Massachusetts Avenue, and central to all that Indianapolis has to offer.
