A true piece of Indianapolis history -- designed by one of the city’s early twentieth-century architecture firms – Rubush & Hunter, established in 1905 by architects Preston C. Rubush and Edgar O. Hunter; the firm operated until 1939. This “castle home” was residence to P.C. Rubush and his family.
Rubush and his business partner designed over 250 buildings throughout Indianapolis, the Midwest, and Florida, including many other Indianapolis landmarks: Old City Hall, Indiana Theatre, Circle Tower, Hilbert Circle Theatre, and the original Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Plant on Massachusetts Ave (renovated into Bottleworks Indy).
