We are thankful to have had working with us as our coffee educator and trainer for the last 9 months. Luke possesses a rare combination of being both incredibly knowledgeable and skilled in coffee on the one hand, and kind, humble, and customer-oriented on the other. Something you don’t find in coffee every day! Excited for the things we will create together in the future. We hope you enjoy your birthday weekend!

Shout out to our son August, who bags up all of the coffee every week in the roastery! (And goes to school and plays soccer!!) We appreciate your hard work and dedication so much !

Hey, we apologize for the shelves being kind of bare the last couple of days. Last week our roaster went down 😔 so it set us back a bit. But it’s up and going again and we are working to get everything stocked back up!

We have Ethiopia, El Salvador, Flyover and Decaf on the shelf now and we will have midtown soon.

Thanks to all of you that have been understanding and willing to come back to get what you need!

It’s 🎡 STATE FAIR 🎡 time again on 38th street!! And we are bringing back the ELEPHANT EAR iced latte from last year! (With a few changes that we think make it even tastier!)

House made cinnamon butterscotch horchata syrup, espresso, with your choice of milk over ice and topped with whipped cream, cinnamon and pieces of Cinnamon Toast Crunch! (Vegan option available)

And don’t forget our pop-up with and on Saturday as well!! Fair themed donuts and savory crepes and pastries! Starts at 9:30am!

And if you are at the state fair look for our coffee in the mercantile building with !!

We are honored that you make this place your home throughout the week. When we designed this expanded side of the shop we really wanted there to be space for the coffee drinkers doing work, those in a meeting that need a big table and those that want to get comfy on a couch with a friend. Happy Birthday, Andy! The one who started roasting coffee as a hobby on a popcorn popper in 2013 and turned that passion into Blue Mind Roasting in 2014! (And named it blue mind) For 10 years you have given so much of your time and energy and heart into roasting coffee. Indianapolis coffee is better because of your care and thoughtfulness! This week our friends are taking a little respite so we have the pleasure of enjoying baked goods from , which are so good!! We are loving the sour cream biscuit paired with strawberry 🍓 rhubarb or peach 🍑 lavender jam! Also loving the sour cream spice cake, blueberry muffins and oatmeal pecan cookies! Thank you for making this happen!

We’ve switched up our espresso options recently. Here’s what we’ve got!

El Salvador finca El Naranjito, honey process, pacas varietal …with notes of apricot, honey and kiwi…delicious on its own or in a cortado.

Colombia Argelia, women produced, washed process, castillo varietal…with notes of cocoa and caramelized sugars…pairs well with milk drinks.

Our guest baker today is our daughter, Emma Jane! She made cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing, chocolate chip 🍌banana bread, and blueberry 🫐 muffins with streusel topping. We really appreciate her helping us out on a Monday since Leviathan is closed. Hope you enjoy!

Tomorrow is one of those days I never look forward to as an owner…saying goodbye to a barista. Jaylan has been with us since day 1 of the shop opening! She came in with coffee experience and has been a solid barista from the beginning. She’s super responsible and dependable and likes things clean and organized, not to mention witty and has a good sense of humor. Jaylan is first and foremost a writer and very good at it. In the past 6 months she began to help us with copy writing and event planning and did both so effortlessly. Thank you so much for all the ways you have contributed to the growth and character of Blue Mind. And thank you for letting us see some of the deeper parts of your self. Excited for what the future holds for you at your new job…you had a goal and you got there! Proud of you! Don’t be a stranger.
